torch 9860 runs for GSM
Torch 9850 runs for CDMA
That's the only difference between 'em..

Do not buy this phone. This is the only phone I hated so much after using many blackberry and Android phones.
The reasons>
The buttons are very cheap quality and very hard. The enjoyment of having a liquid touch experience will be shattered when you press this button,
A large number of users are facing issues with these buttons not responsive at all. The back button and menu button will not function. The end button also do not function sometimes. It is so irritating that the problem occurs many times in a day but difficult to reproduce. If you go to the service center, they will say there is no problem.
See the following pains of many users. I am one of them. Horrible phone.

Make the tast of velocity... send a e-mail from hotmail and gmail to your android! After 2 hour you will recive a hotmail e-mail.
BB dosn´t has this type of problem and is able to work with any e-mail.

Have 9860 and its a great phone. Covers all bases exceptionally well ( calls, internet, media etc). Its beautifully made and has a premium feel. Battery is no issue as I get anywhere from 10 hours to a full day depending on use. As with all BB's you need to fine tune the settings to maximise the phones potential. Would recomend this device.

Do not get a blackberry torch. I have the 9860. It's a great looking phone and has most of the usual smartphone features, it was unfortunately a rush job and the operating system is useless. Mine seizes up on just about every screen and i can't reverse out. Even when i can it doesn't close the frozen screen, it saves it for the next time i open that app.

Hey there people,here are some advise from me,even though I only own two phones my whole entire life.You see,quality matters right people,and also battery life matters too and so for the usability of the phone.So before buying one,choose a phone that suites our style of usage,(Looks and Usability)when combined together will be the best,and battery life must be very long if our phone is not in use,but ofcourse We'll use it,so a phone that can accompany us until bed time would be good.Charge your phone when battery is at 10 percent or lower,and each time you do so charge it until it's full.Don't let dirt or water get in contact with our phone,it'll be bad cause it decreases the quality of it.And one last thing,love your phone:)That's it people!

sambit, 16 Aug 2012hiiiiii....can anyone suggest me wheather i will go for it ... morehi sambit mee too android user but i changed to bb 9860 and found some advantages and some disadvantages in bb ,over all 9860 torch is excellent in touch,music,vidoplayback and internet,but lack off apps,its supports multiple video formats like avi,mp4,3gpp and etc like android mx player.so i am satisfied with bb over all this is a great bb phone.

i'm now planning to buy new hp. but i'm in dilemma mode cause i donno what type of hp to buy. i keep thinking of this bb torch but someone didn't suggest for me to buy this hp. can i get some feedbacks from the one who used to have n own this phone? i heard that it has battery life problem. what else does it has either pros n cons?just share with me :) THANK YOU

After full charge over night sometimes I do not get home before the phone battery is dead. I'm still searching for a solution. I have to mention that I DO NOT run apps. in the background. I always close the app. fro the menu command, do not leave FB, YM, etc. or any browser windows open. I use the phone for talk and BBM, and occasional pics.
