nice phone...incase u cant check ur balance on mtn just go to option...mobile network and click on diagonize and run then check it work fine

For those who cant check balance or do any specific gsm command such as (*556#), simply turn off the CDMA network (switch 2 3G or 2G) then dial. It works. But then u have to switch it back to Global(Dual Mode)..

Charles Davids, 27 Jul 2010i have a BB tour 9630 from sprint, but im having problem wi... morehey dude!go to options,click on it.scroll to mobile network,click on it and you will see data services.click on your blackberry button and you will see diagnostic test.click on the diagnostic test.then press your blackberry button again you will see "run". click on the "run" and your diagnostic test will run.it will later write completed.then go and check your account balance.pity is you may have to do this everytime you want to check your account balance or load your phone.have fun.

it has cdma and gsm,the problem is that on the gsm network those commands are sent as network request while on cdma network they dial out the request so when you are sending out the request the cdma side of the phone takes over and dial it out which does not work for gsm.

i have a BB tour 9630 from sprint, but im having problem with loading of recharg card and checking my account balamce. each time i try to check account balance by typing *556#, which stands for MTN Nigerian, the phone dials as if i want to make call, and the voice prompts tells me that the number im calling is not correct, and the same issues applies on loading my credit too. secondly, where my network provide should appear at the up front of my screen it appears ACTIVATION REQUIRED. pls could someone assist me with an alternative with this mess, otherwise i might get ride of the phone. Its totaly absord for this phone to be wivout radio and wi-fi, its so unacceptable, I think to cap it up, it is a very useless fone also wiv much price
