I am a new Blackberry user and so far I am enjoying every moment of it... I recently got the Blackberry Tour 9630, eventhought it doesnt have wifi but what the heck once you subscribe to BIS service by your mobile provider you can use the service unlimited... Once you go black you'll never go back hehehe

I've been using the Blackberry for a couple of months for work. As a working tool, it is great. It syncs well with my work email.
The screen seems rather small to me compared to my personal smartphone (Nokia N97). However, the smaller screen on the Blackberry is actually criper and clearer than my N97. I can see more on my N97, but clearer on the BB. Still, I need to occasionally zoom in to see small text where as I almost never need to do that on my N97 because of the larger screen.
Navigation on the BB is done using a track ball. The track ball in some sense makes scrolling easier some times, but more annoying other times. I find that if I want to scrol a little, the track ball is easier to use. If I want to scroll far, the track ball is annoying as it doesn't scroll that fast. To scroll far, you need to use the keyboard short cuts like to page down and - to page up. The manual does not hava listing of these short cuts so you have to look them up on the web. One other criticism of the track ball, is that you need to press it down in order to click on an item. Sometimes, you end up moving the mouse as you press the track ball, especially if your track ball setting is towards the sensitive side.
I personally find the keyboard to be rather difficult to type on. The keys are very close together and I have a tendency to press the wrong key or accidentally press multiple keys. The device crams both the display and keyboard into a small amount of space, and I just would rather have a bigger keyboard and a bigger screen.
One interesting feature about the Blackberry is that it can sense when it is holstered. This feature works with holsters that have some magnettic device to keep the unit secured. When it is holstered, it conveniently turns off the screen and conserves power.
Since it is my work phone, my ability and permission to customise it is rather limited. For my work requirements, it functions quite adequately.
