A good Blackberry phone. I use the Whats App and other basic apps like Facebook and Twitter and addition to web browsing and emailing I have never gotten any problems including the update to 10.3 Call clarity is great

My review of the Blackberry Z3. This will also come handy as a handbook for those of you who are planning to consider or purchase the Blackberry Z3.
The blackberry Z3 which is a lower spec and low budget Blackberry device which comes with 5 inch screen, a 1.1mp front facing camera and a 5mp primary camera with a flash and 2500 mAh batter which is not user replaceable the phone comes with 3G and Wifi but not 4G or LTE unlike its other siblings like the Z10 or Z30 or for that matter the Q5. The phones feels really good in your hands the grip is amazing and so is the screen, it doesnt have a Wow factor like most HD screen which come on the many similar budget android or windows devices. On the contrary the sunlight legibility of the device is great for its resolution of 540x960 pixels, that comes with 220ppi. Many other website or review have been misleading with central aspect of the screen which is the Ambient light sensor. The Z3 come equipped with a ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. I enjoy reading email and surfing the web on the large screen,
Blackberry since their inception of the company their moto has always been providing secure email communication for corporate who deal with sensitive documents and need a device that offers the best in class email and messaging encryption. And this is something anybody whose been a Blackberry user fore more than a decade would know, the blackberry 10 devices offer the same reliability of their email, sms or bbm messaging being encrypted to the highest level known to corporate user, they do have Military encryption benchmark devices too but, they come at a higher cost. Coming back to the BB10 devices and Z3 is an answer for those who are looking for a cheaper edition of the BB 10 device that offer reliability but compromises on certain other aspect like camera quality, gaming and heavy multi-tasking.
The Blackberry Z3 just like the Q5 comes with some minor changes the biggest being the large 5" screen and a better battery life not as good as the Q5 but, you'll enjoying watching movies, video's, browsing and reading articles on the large screen the phone is equipped with a Dual core processor, with 1.5GB RAM and 8Gig Internal ROM the 1.5GB RAM shows its weakness when you start multi-tasking (Some of you may disagree) but, try it with having 3 applications running in the background and the second application better be web browser trying scrolling the screen on the web browser and you'll notice a good amount of stutter and lag scrolling up and down and panning in and out on the screen. The same goes with the email at times which can get really irritating. Out of the 8GB ROM only 4.8GB is on offer to the users and when you update the OS to 10.3.1 you'll notice only 4.9 to 3.4 GB available to users.
Oh yeah, you can download Android based applications most of them run but, I really wouldnt recommend you even download any application beyond a twitter App, FB app and Insta10 app any additional download of applications and you'll notice the phone beginning to lag like its nobody's business, this is just the start, tryin searching for contacts on your phone book or trying making calls you'll notice considerable lag on the device and things gets out of hand at times you'll also notice the phone freezes at times and the only option at that time is to switch of the phone or click on the reset button which is between the Sim Slot and SD card slot on the side. Dont get carried away by the ability of downloading Apk (Android apps) because soon your going run out of ROM Space and more often your going to see your phone crash. You cannot play games like you would want too on other Android or Window phone or Jolla devices. I'm sure most have you have seen a few videos on youtube about playing some games like Buggy and some sort of jet ski racing game that's possible only if you do not update your OS to 10.3.1 one another thing, you'd notice that unlike the new Android Kitkat or the Windows 8 os you cannot dump files on your SD card except of music, photographs or video and a few office documents.
What this phone offers that many other android and window phone doesnt offer is. The phone is pretty powerful when it comes to daily office use, you get Office Pack, PDF reader, BBM, BBM Meetings a few other goodies that even high end windows phone and Android phone do not offer as standard on their devices which is shame, all these fantastic features may come handy to a guy or girl whose not looking for aphone for its frills and thrills of playing High End game or watch video's (You can get a PSP or iPod for that)
Before I forget, the best thing of OS 10 is, you no longer need BIS, BES packages from your mobile operator, and anybody with a regular GPRS, 3G or 4G connection can use it with being freakedout about upgrading their mobile package.
The Blackberry has an impeccable email client service which no other device can match even after 100 year I can guarantee, no phone can come close to them but, for those of you who plan to buy this phone thinking you can get more and be satisfied for a phone that isnt android and can side load android app, your a fool to think that! I strongly recommend you rather get a Android phone or Windows Device for the same price which atleast offers you what you like doing the most.
I've been a blackberry user for more than 10 years now, no doubt its one of the best phone for corporate user and people who dont like android devices and hate playing Nova or Real Racing. I use a Q10 as my primary phone after the OS updated I've noticed considerable lags even on my Q10 too the phone freezes on many occasions which is turn off but, its not as bad, its manageable (I'm patient enough to restart my phone and start using it) I'm not sure how patient the person who plans to buy a Z3 is gonna be, I'm sure he/she is going throw or slam it again the concrete wall or throw it under a moving vehicle. Some people have been facing a excessive heating issues after the 10.3.1 update which is another turn off about this device.
For those of you who want a Blacbkerry Device I suggest consider the Z30 and BB Classic and the new Leap they have sufficient ROM space to include all the android apps you want to have on your phone. And the BB passport to those who are looking to upgrade and show off.
Verdict: Planning to buy the BB Z3, I advice you not to buy it rather putt some addition amount and buy the Z10 (bad battery life but camera is as good as it iphone 5S) or the Classic. In plain english buy anything but a Z3. If you really like the Z3 so much then who the Fcuk am I to stop you to dig your own grave for your Z3.
I'm on the verge of exchanging my Z3 with a BB 9810 torch 2 that device is any day better than the Z3.

I've been told that the new updated 10.3.1.2559.7 has resolved some of the issues. I have the 10.3.1.1565 update, let me check the unoffical update and let all those of you who have the same issue as me, if its any good!

Give him a piece of your mind. This is my BBPin#: 2AFD767C, add me and I'll forward you his email address, he's in charge of the BB Customer Loyalty (Just ensure you have your warranty still in place.)
When I had a issue with my Blackberry 9810 then, I had to escalate the issue till the canada and UK office. My issue was resolved the replaced my device with a new one. I hope this comes handy to those who are genuinely having issues with BB device.

AnonD-373431, 14 Mar 2015Both the phones are good but blackberry is having pathetic ... moreWell If you really want help, with blackberry you need to escalate the issue to the UK office, I've had my share of issues with the BB Service centre once, they denied repairing my device and claimed it was damaged by me. When I sent an email to the UK office everything changed.
In india Redington has the distribution for BB and other devices and they have hopeless team of idiots at the service centre. Its important that you know somebody directly in Blackberry else thing would get worse.
For those of you have serious issues with you device but, Blackberry India's (Redington Service) centre guys aren't helping you resolve issues then I strongly suggest you go to the ukwebsite of blackerry help center and send a email. You'll see in a weeks time Redington India get on their toes and either resolve the issue or replace your device with a new one provided its still in the warranty.

Ive been experiencing network problems for a week now. People call me then my phone goes straight to voice mail, but it is on. The little BB logo does not appear at the reception level mark in the top right corner? I have to reboot or switch my phone off several times i order to get network coverage, but it still doea not last!!! Is this an actual problem with the phone or what? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Download the OS update on WiFi Network. But, I strongly recommend you dont download the 10.3.1 its not good!
