This is one of the better phones that I have used. It took a little bit of trial and error, but I got it rooted and removed the SD card restriction put in place by KitKat. Literally the only thing I can think of that I have a problem with is the damn mic. It distorts while recording video at any volume (even in a silent room) and while using it with WhatsApp, it also distorts except it is much worse there. I made a recording while in a quiet room and about 1 1/2 seconds in, the mic just drops off like a badly designed limiter starts taking over. I have tried every modification I can think of with system files and still no dice. If it wasn't for the crap limiter being crap, this would be a phone I could easily choose over the AT&T Note 3.

Anonymous, 10 Sep 2015The blue life one xl can be upgraded.... the life one cannot The xl can be upgraded to lollipop but the normal life one cannot? They're practically the same phone. I mean take out the screen difference and the battery and the two are identical according to the specs. That's just wacky that one is upgradable now and the other is not

Gt if you go to the blhproducts site you will see that they redirect you to best buy.com to buy the life one xl. I think they just updated it this week. Previously they just sent you to the life one on amazon.com

I just got the blu life one 4G LTE today, I was looking all over for the life one 4G LTE XL, it's not even out, if it is, I can't find it. And after I cried, fussed with my friend who's a dealer to allow this purchase through his store, because he insisted that he doesn't sell these as they are more expensive to ship. I said, I still want it as all the others he sold came upgradable out of the box which, was updated in my presence but, I wanted the life one LTE . Now, I'm sitting in my couch wondering what to do been Because I feel stupid when I had enough choices that was upgraded to the 5.0 in my presence. Now, this phone, I'm here searching on the same place where the dealer found the update, to try to update this phone. I NEED IT UPDATED NOW. I shown spent too much money to me sitting down with this, I want it updated. This can't be because the dealer will not take back this phone to give me one that's ashtray updated. Please

The Blu Life One XL is currently selling at $199 (not on sale). So why would someone pick this over another 5.5" phone selling at the same price with much better specs? What am I missing? I mean the specs are OK for this phone. But for the same money you can get a zenfone2 with specs that blow this one away (for the most part).

At $99 the Bu Life One (not the XL) was a great phone. Even at $149 its a decent phone for the price (when compared to other 5" phones). So what gives with the XL? How can a regular price for the Life One XL be $199?

Looks pretty cool. I tried to find a comparison with a name brand. Compare this to a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and you will see it as comparible. I like BLU products simply because they are are cheap and given their build quality and specs they have more bang for you buck. I'm looking forward to purchasing this phone.
