The worst phone I've ever used...A full charged battery doesnt last more than 10 hours...that too with least use. Software is a bigger issue as it goes to 'switch off' mode and when ever some one tried to call me it gives "phone is switched off" message. Bought this fone as a second one, as it is just a basic model. Even there is no option to see missed call details as it just appears on the screen but then fades away! Dont know what kind of fone is this. just bought this 3 months back...going back to carrefour today and lodge a complaint direct.

Hello.
I am IT manager for a foundry which is a pretty industrial environment.
We issue our shop floor supervisors and management with rugged phones due to the nature of the job. I can honestly say, having gone to these phones from the Samsung Solid's the CAT B30 is a complete and utter embarrassment to the name "CAT".
It is the worst thing we've ever bought. For us, battery life is important and to be honest it's not a lot to ask for. OK, a smartphone you would expect battery life to be a lot less but this IS NOT a smartphone - it's a basic phone and the battery life is extremely disappointing.
The tech specs quote a battery life of "11 days" - knock a 1 off the end of 11 and you're closer to it. It's not fit for purpose and is not as described therefore I would recommend anyone who has bought one of these to get a full refund under simple contract law.
Then there is the torch - to be honest the screen back light is more use than the stupid LED they use for the torch.
Finally, CAT, you should be ashamed of yourselves - this phone is not durable it scratches easily because everything is extruding and it's just rubbish!
Would recommend other people take my advise - our industry is pretty tough so if we are finding it rubbish, it must be!
Samsung Solid phones on the other hand, they are perfect for any applications - just a shame we're having problems sourcing them now!

Got one as a company phone. This phone is a joke and should not be sold. Battery life is 1 day top with no usage of the phone. My has no dual sim but the battery is removable.
Pleas buy something else, or you will be disappointed!

I like ruggedness, but other things are not good. Old Nokia battery BL-5C. On this size phone least 2 times bigger battery should be inside. Even with one sim phone lasts 5-6 days (good Nokia with same battery 10 days). Sound is ok, but very quiet, is not proper phone to use on construction site or similar places. Why it has flashlight - it is a bit brighter than screen - almost useless. Least compass should be inside. Key lock is min time is 15s.
Size is ok, using with one hand is easy and comfort.
Regular key phone for high price, without any features exept waterproof.

I'm really disappointed of this cheap but expensive Chinese device. If they think that CAT brand cost something, they'd better to sell better products.
1. This is very basic phone, just for calling. I would be great if the price would be at least twice cheaper. It just like old Siemens handy I always love but now it is stupid to pay 100 euro for this old-fashioned phone. Lack of memory, ugly display, few settings available.
2. Do not think it is reliable. My one died after a 2 months of use from time to time (once a week or so), and the damage was internal, impossible for incorrect use of impact. Official service rejected the warranty and only after number of angry e-mails to manufacturer and proofs that it was impossible to damage it the phone was repaired free of charge.
3. After repairing it lost Cyrillic characters at all, because service replaced the motherboard but forgot to change the firmware. No luck to get it back.
4. Very weak battery life. If no SIM inserted it lasts for mounts or so, but is you use 2 SIM-cards and calling not to often, the life of the battery is miserable 2 days. Even iPhone works longer.
To be honest, there are TWO good points. They are a) call recording (but due to ugly settings you can't change to destination of recording) and b) 3G on 1st sim-card. If not 3G I would prefer cheaper and much better mobiles from Ali, the only 3G force me to choose it - one of my SIM doesn't work without 3G.
But no more CAT phones.

Wonderful phone! Fantastic signal, best FM radio of any feature phone I've owned, rugged, water resistant (who would ever swim with a phone?). So I pay ~$20 a month for talk and text phone service and carry around a 128GB iPod Touch for media with wifi being almost everywhere. I'm often in areas where cell data lacks, but can almost always get at least a 2G phone signal.
Save money, get a MP3 player and this tough phone and you're good! Oh...and you CAN get data/Internet on this phone if you don't mind the small screen and paying for data!

Hi mobile phone fans and users ....
I have this phone from 07.2015
Phone is great BUT :
1 battery is a crap - now use a nokia bl-5c from grandma old phone . From the begining phone last one day not much !
2 Second sim has a bad time management : when is used intensively it may occur low quality audition . This means this phone is no 1/2 of dual sim - dual standby
Using only SIM 1 3 G is ok
3 No dedicated software for backup , small android kernel . No support on CAT 'S websites.
Half a selling price was a better choice ...
Do not recommend , use China Blackview rugged smartphone

"dual sim" here means dual micro sim with one of them wcdma compatible, the other is gsm only
