Deal: Buy HTC One M9 and get Nexus 9 for free

With the HTC's next flagship launch just a few weeks away, the Taiwanese company is offering a deal on its last year's One M9 flagship that nets you a free Nexus 9 (16GB black variant) with every purchase of the smartphone.

It's a US-only deal that is valid on both unlocked as well as carrier variants of the One M9. Price-wise, the phone carries an official tag of $649.00 in the US, while the tablet on offer usually sets you back $399. Put simply, the deal - which is valid through March 22 (11:59 PM PT) - saves you $399.

Keep in mind that you can purchase a maximum of four One M9s with the deal. In case you missed, the device has already received the Marshmallow update in the US.

What is your source on that? HTC still is the only OEM that openly provides the unlocker and kernel code for it's phones so you can unlock and build your own ROMS or use other ROMS, such as CM. I have seen zero announcements from either H...

USA only as always. They get devices at cheapest prices, and if that wouldn't be enough various promotions whilst in Europe the same devices cost more in EUR than in USD even though EUR currency is higher.

Good luck. Google is locking down Android so you will not be able to update to a different ROM without installing stock firmware first. It's not a bad situation now, but wait until Android is no longer supported on the Nexus and you can't load Cyanog...
