Details on Xiaomi 14 Ultra colorways leak, including leatherette and glass versions
A leak from earlier today detailed the memory configurations that will be available for the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra, including the special edition with a titanium frame. That version will be available only with 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage, but will cost CNY 500 ($70/£55/€65/₹5,800) more than the other 16GB/1TB phones.
According to a leakster on Weibo, the 16GB/1TB Ultra will be available in White (with a leatherette back) and Blue (glass back) in addition to the titanium version. The lower variants, the ones with 16/256GB and 16/512GB configurations, will be available in Black and White, which should have glass backs.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to arrive this month on February 22, with a European launch to follow next month. It is expected to be similar to the Xiaomi 14 Pro, except with a 1” sensor in the main camera (vs. 1/1.31” on the Pro) and a longer focal length for the telephoto camera.

It sounds like your experience with real leather, is fake leather made out of cardboard. Which sadly is a thing. Real leather is extremely durable, though obviously there are different grades used in different products and use cases. Just like ...

I didn't say it affects ingress protection, but that real leather exposed to water or other liquids turns into the leather into total crap.
