To be able to buy a decent durable phone manufactured without heavy human or environmental abuse and even human slavery is a revolution. Those complaining about specs and comparing prices with phones made by the big conglomerates have totally missed the point. If you think super smooth scrolling is more important than this I think you're on a strange and very sad path.

      >No 3.5mm headphone jack

Please Fairphone, don't follow Apple's capitalistic footsteps. Don't sacrifice your ethos of sustainability just for some worthless earbuds.

Way to go, guys. Make the next one with an amoled screen, 3.5 mm jack and keep the battery removable (if possible bigger) and I'll buy one.

can't help but be very angered by the new fairphone 4 design

The fairphone ment be a user friendly phone that can be repaired and is future proof

The idea of the phone is good however fairphone clearly say one thing but do another thing

No 3.5 handphone jack :( I don't want ear buds this kind phone should have a headphone jack

A notch I hate the notch should not be on a phone aimed at the user base that it is I can't see part of the screen can't repair this can you

No changer in the box and no this does not help the would it just another way make you pay more money

There are many video on YouTube that prove no changer don't help the would

A snapdragon 750 with in a flagship priced phone that is ment to out last flagships

Fairphone should have at least put a snapdragon 865 inside the phone Performance is the thing that ages the worsed of any spec

No OLED screen are you kidding me cheap out here too
At least the screen can be replaced but it's a safe bet you still can't get a OLED screen

I have be real here the phone a scam just buy a flagship
when software updates Run out then custom ROM for future proofing and a good case and screen protector

The problem is fairphone should have just made a cheap phone with cheap price or a flagship with flagship specs and OLED screen

But the older fair phones did have better chips inside for there time I think the fairphone 2 had a snapdragon 800

Fairphone has are not as good as they used to be

The "I feel good" phone 4 will yield zero benefits on pollution as most of the people buy cheap phones by far. This phone seems to be targeted to rich bored people and I don't buy at all that their margins are so low.

this phone is like a niche product with reasonable idea behind it, like foldable devices, but this is more practical...
it's not targeted to everyone, so comparing it to other devices is kinda pointless.

I mean if you like repairability then sure, but a cheaper Galaxy A52s has a headphone jack and a SD 778G with a nice 120hz AMOLED display... bloatware sucks on Samsungs though.

But... c'mon just move the display down and got rid of that notch. You have room to do it...

No headphone Jack? Also the galaxy A52s just has more value for the money...

I love the concept but I don't like the design. I mean, if you have that thick of bezels then why not just add a physical clickly home button and touchable backlit navigation buttons? Does it have good haptics? How long will Android update support be? Will it get constant graphics driver updates? Will it get a square display like the Galaxy S7 has? Will the software components be open source if not already of its "our" phone to keep?

Gotta say, this phone is rather poor for the money. But given how its supposed to be modular, I don't doubt that in the future, you can stick an SD888 and 120hz screen into the phone for 50 bucks more.

hate to break it to those who say this phone is over priced and not worth it, those shoes you are wearing are all made from material that Nike, Adidas and other manufacturers buy for like £4 you then pay £40- hundreds of £ to own them. same with phones and tech its called business and profit margin how much its worth is the same as how much you are willing to pay for it.

Too bad it's tablet sized and very expensive.

Make a pocketable phone under 150mm height, 16:9 no notches or holes.
For a long time Apple is now the only one bothering making usable smaller phones. Rest just sells the same tablet sized phone under different name.
