In fact, any single phone that is Impossible to repair for a low price, is e-waste. Of all modern phones in the gsm arena database, perhaps a handful is no e-waste, including this one. I know, in cases of underdevelopment, like you, it is hard to understand that products you simply dislike are not all e-waste or trash. But doing research will make one smarter. Try it.

                There is definitely going to be a design philosophy put too the test of time
                question is repair and replacement costs it's doubtful that money will be saved in the long-term as a Chinese phone is a lot cheaper plus has a changer in the box very high spec's but a good ifixit rating is a top priority in general which fair phone has

                historically performance has been the deal breaker for Nokia budget phones
                after 2 or more os updates phone's are just too laggy Nokia is unbearable

                In general for most phones
                if the battery still works & screen isn't broken or changing port difficulties is what goes wrong if no faults just strange & performance isn't usable anymore as a result of higher minimum hardware requirements for every updated app & web browser lagging

                  This isn't going have longevity more than other phone's the reason is the price the problem is as this phone is very expensive it's the price of the repair costs & the phone it's self
                  if I am not mistaken you're also got factor into the price the changer shopping as well as the phone separately not too mention the fual used too do so

                  not even 500gb storage which isn't going age well
                  I really dislike the hole punch screen this dead pixel can't be repaired

                  Removable battery is a favorite but it is a small battery but I guess one could just buy a extra it looks like from what I've heard they listened and are trying get moduler soc which is one of the main problem's with smartphones if this is so Yes the phone should run smoothly In future as long as software developers of apps have a low minimum requirements for them if you're able use a future flagship soc snapdragon you're have a better than iPhone soc in the future on your smartphone as a result of PC like upgrade which be amazing

                  On the topic of performance
                  Google is at fault for a lot of the lagging if not most of it in the UI interface & browser a total ram hog it turns out it has been confirmed it's on purpose as well google does target Firefox as well with additional workload

                  Having used Chinese market phones which are not artificially slowed down like western phones trying be smooth noted they are not as refined just sheer touch responsiveness & speed and price too performance
                  ratio
                  strong multi tasking as well

They rather release updates versions, it is less harmful because of environmental issues. Besides, if you can keep a phone for years, why release a new one everywhere?

                        My point is, the phone is overpriced for the performance offered. They can give a Snapdragon 680, or even a 425 in there, but it all comes down to pricing.

                          Great looking phone. Shame the battery isn't at least 5000mAh.

                              Amazing phone which offers everything you need and more. The blue color is nice the black a bit borig and the transparent is cool too. Nice and lonbsoftware support, Fairphone is one of its kind.

                                Bla bla bla to you. I have a 15 years old pc with icore 3 gen 4 that runs windows 11 quite fadt given the dated hardware. I use this pc for work, and i open thouseds of connection and tabs in browser, still works without slowdowns. Of course it is a working maschine, not a gaming one. So you were saying what? Hardware to weak? More like you know nothing about hardware and how it works. Anyhow, if microsoft windows can run on an old pc so does android, and if groogle keeps on crippling android, fairphone is set to make their devices run as intended. Hack never had and hmd nokia device slowing down after updates, in fact, they all ran faster. If hmd with minimal intervation at code level, can do it, so can fairphone, and SD 7 is not bad at all, not for working beither for a bit of gaming, receiving long time driver support directly from Qualcom, nothing to complain. But of course, kids who have no idea of how hardware works think a 3 years supported flagship cpu is better because saunds better on paper and is faster.👍🏻

The device costs "more" because is made different and that difference, costs. From fair made materials, to fair paid labor, to repairability enginiering, to parts manufacturing, to warranty and updates delievery, to support for custom rom without warranty loss. No device on the martket offers so much value for the money and you complain about the CPU because you can't play ganjing impact or whatever kids this days play on their phone instead of learning, at full resolution? Kind of funny to read this comments over and over again, how they are ok with garbage as long as it has the latest snapdragon flagship cpu, at insane prices and offering pretty much nothing but a bit faster experience in gaming, and the fun part, they all call themselves "techie guys", good joke, none the less.
