Zen, 06 Jul 2024When will next Fairphone 6 comes out?Not anytime soon, they don't release a new phone every year. They rather release updates versions, it is less harmful because of environmental issues. Besides, if you can keep a phone for years, why release a new one everywhere?

My point is, the phone is overpriced for the performance offered. They can give a Snapdragon 680, or even a 425 in there, but it all comes down to pricing.

Amazing phone which offers everything you need and more. The blue color is nice the black a bit borig and the transparent is cool too. Nice and lonbsoftware support, Fairphone is one of its kind.

Bla bla bla to you. I have a 15 years old pc with icore 3 gen 4 that runs windows 11 quite fadt given the dated hardware. I use this pc for work, and i open thouseds of connection and tabs in browser, still works without slowdowns. Of course it is a working maschine, not a gaming one. So you were saying what? Hardware to weak? More like you know nothing about hardware and how it works. Anyhow, if microsoft windows can run on an old pc so does android, and if groogle keeps on crippling android, fairphone is set to make their devices run as intended. Hack never had and hmd nokia device slowing down after updates, in fact, they all ran faster. If hmd with minimal intervation at code level, can do it, so can fairphone, and SD 7 is not bad at all, not for working beither for a bit of gaming, receiving long time driver support directly from Qualcom, nothing to complain. But of course, kids who have no idea of how hardware works think a 3 years supported flagship cpu is better because saunds better on paper and is faster.👍🏻

The device costs "more" because is made different and that difference, costs. From fair made materials, to fair paid labor, to repairability enginiering, to parts manufacturing, to warranty and updates delievery, to support for custom rom without warranty loss. No device on the martket offers so much value for the money and you complain about the CPU because you can't play ganjing impact or whatever kids this days play on their phone instead of learning, at full resolution? Kind of funny to read this comments over and over again, how they are ok with garbage as long as it has the latest snapdragon flagship cpu, at insane prices and offering pretty much nothing but a bit faster experience in gaming, and the fun part, they all call themselves "techie guys", good joke, none the less.

2. Unnecessary depth camera
3. Selfie camera 50mp (why not 500?)
4. Unbelievably high prices on both phone and spare part
5. Only 1 physical sim card slot
6. No wireless charging
7. Weak battery
8. No FM radio
9. No IR output

A repairable phone, with replaceable battery, which also has.... display port! That is very cool indeed. Might be overpriced, but also covers the price of laptop for most people
