First OTA update for Sony's concept Marshmallow build is now rolling out

Himanshu, 28 October, 2015

Last week Sony started rolling out its concept Marshmallow build to Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact users who had registered for the beta test, and now the build is receiving its first over-the-air (OTA) update.

Carrying a build number of MRA58K.Z1.2085, the update brings several new features, including Tap to wake, support for MIDI via USB as well as more bitrates for flac audio content, and an updated keyboard. The update is rolling out slowly, so it might take some time before its hits your device.

If you aren't in the know, the beta test is limited to select European countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
