Galaxy F15 5G teaser images leak, reveal a 6,000mAh battery and promise 4 OS updates

Last week we saw a Geekbench result from the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G with a Dimensity 6100+ chipset, the same chip that is inside the Galaxy A15 5G. The two phones have a lot in common, though as leaked teaser images show there will be some differences too.

The biggest is that the F15 will have a 6,000mAh battery (1,000mAh more than the A15). This is the same capacity as last year’s Galaxy F14 5G that this phone will replace. We also saw the battery in question get certified recently. Anyway, the phone should support 25W charging over USB-C.

Samsung will commit to 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches for the phone – that’s great for a budget device and better than the F14 got (it is only getting 2 OS updates and 4 years of patches).

The “Voice Focus” feature you see highlighted has been a part of the Galaxy A and F series for a while now (since One UI 5.0). It enhances your voice as well as the voice of the person you are calling to filter out ambient noise on either end of the call.

Those things aside, the Galaxy F15 5G should have the same 6.5” FHD+ 90Hz display with a 13MP selfie in a notch as the A15 5G. Also, it has a triple camera, most likely the 50MP main, 5MP ultra wide and a 2MP helper (the F14 lacks an ultra wide module). The base configuration will most likely remain the same at 4/128GB as the F14.

The Galaxy F15 5G could be unveiled on February 22, though we haven’t gotten an official confirmation yet. By the way, Samsung is preparing a 4G version of the Galaxy F14, which should be unveiled soon.

Not that I have any problem with long OS update, but it's just that new OS update for non-flagship Samsung phones haven't always been the best of experience.

most likely PLS LCD. i feel like they reuse the same screen from a05s.. still reasonable. i doubt the reuse the same component from f14 like battery as well.

2mp 'helper' is just another buzzword of depth sensor. scratch that and replace the 5mp uw with 12mp ones. let the image processing software do the bokeh.
