If you need advice, do not buy. Apart from the good battery life, the phone is an embarrassment to its makers. Cuts off SMS randomly and after some months, screen freezing and lag in performance. I have done a factory reset and Uninstaller apps but to no avail.

After using this phone for 8-9 months, I'm facing serious lag in performance (hang and slow down). Even while charging it gets heat up.
Back body is of aluminum with no texture, so it often slips from hand.
The rear camera is also not that great in the price range.

This is the best phone in this Price range. No any Complaints. Been Flawless since 1 month. Don't doubt about its performance reading the comments. This works fine. I used Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo for about 3 years and more from Sep 2014 to 2018 and now I have this Gionee A1. And I'm Loving it.

1. Place you sim cards in any other phone and let them stay there for some time and recive some sms and then replace your cards to A1.
2. If step 1 doesn't work then Factory restore your handset and do not restore any type of backups(SMS, Contacts, Call logs) excpt gmail
