The real fact is that even the gionee agreed with all the faults and said we are working on it. You shouldn't have updated it so soon .

1)No unread mess... moreIf u would hv reset ur phone after updating to kitkat there wont be ny problem..... Battery backup is gr8... I play nova 3 alot on this phone and it performs like a charm... Response is great n all applications get closed only whn ur ram gets completely filled... U should knw these basic things.
There is no problem with contacts n they get properly synchronised n i hv never faced ur this unknown contact issue.
Frst reset ur phone... After tht share ur views

Lot of bugs in the Kitkat update...... :(
1)No unread messages in inbox but showing message notification.
2)Contacts doesn't synchronize with the dialer contacts, they show as unknown even if the contact is available.
3)Swipe from notification bar to settings bar doesn't work.
4)Some apps even installed doesn't have icon in appmanager, once we start the app from uninstall manager then the icon appears .
5)Double tap to awake doesn't respond properly.+
6)All Application closes on its own with a vibration some time.
7)Service Messages such as online shopping,courier,airtel etc will not open it shows empty message and message notification increases.
8)Phone response is very bad.
9)can't resume most of the apps they just start from begining, ex:- type a number in dialer pad and minimize and open the number is gone.
10)very bad battery backup.
11)It has become a nokia 1100 set after kitkat update.
12)If their is two contacts of same number it shows unknown number.
13)In dialer history even the contact is their it shows unknown contact, once you call the number then it displays the name .
14)Most worst font .
These are the things i have noticed I think still more yet to come..... :(
Not even able to revert the update and stuck with asshole phone now.
Over all an waste update from GIONEE .It would have been better if they hadn't provided the update at all.
