Hi
can any one tell me whether M2 supports the video playback of 1080P or only 720P. I mean does this mobile play full HD other than recording normal HD videos.

However I will try to answer you as per my best understanding. First of all if you think your device is rooted or not, go to play store and install root checker app, you will find many.
secondly if it's rooted go ahead and install super user app (available in play store) under this app you will be able to set permissions as and when required.
For further detail try and search articles about rooted droids @ XDA.

This is my honest review about gionee m2 - a mixed experience. Purchased on 9th april from a local shop ( the shop owner is my friend ) knowing that it has a flash related bug. The experience was very good till 12th when i shaw " A STRANGE HORIZONTAL LINE" is appearing just below the notification bar. it was appearing after extensive use of the device when it getting heated. Next day I have visited the service centre along with my friend. I am very satisfied with their customer support. They are so helpful & cooperative. They gave me a DOA certificate & told me to pick a new one from the dealer. I was very happy & after 7 days got a new one. Aftet using it for few hours the same thin line appeared exactly in the same area just below the notification bar. I have informed gionee through customer feedback option & they told me to contact with local sc. I have gone through many reviews & videos searched online if anybody facing this problem but found nothing. I dont know gionee is aware or not about this problem or this problem is with a particular lot but I would request them to check each & every device before shipping. Still i believe gionee is a very good company & can give a very tough competition to oher big brands but make sure the handsets should be bugfree.
Apart from this two bugs i didnot found any negative in m2. the build quality, battery backup ,camera & overall performance is really good. This is my experience with gionee m2 & please share your experience without hiding anything & it will surely help others .

when i am going to install apps my phone showing ' root detected . please enable root permission ' . is my phone prerooted ? but if is not then how my phone phone was rooted with out using any apps ..
