Hi,
Any idea how to encrypt Gionee M2 device for setting up corporate mail, security policy of my company requires device encryption, i am struggling with it, every time it goes to encrypt device and the phone just restarts , i have tried this out ~50 times.
any help on this is appreciated.

just go for it. it's a wonderful smart phone with a superb battery backup. good back and front camera. dual sim - one is mini sim and the second is micro sim. internal storage 4/8 gb. i am using the 8 gb phone. 5 inch screen. excellent network and a very responsible after care services from gionee. kitkat update available but have not updated as yet as my laptop is not working at present. i repeat "go for it ".

First i was confused by reading the opinions
but i purchased this phone afraiding
but i like this phone very much its battery backup is awesome
nice 8+2 mp camera
flash is gud
i love it
buy this phone without tension

rohanzo, 02 Oct 2014Been using Gionee M2 for a month and then my battery goes f... moresometimes the charger isn't good and sometimes the cable would have gone bad. Try on some other charger and /or cable and see if the problem is solved.

Nobody know about its performance..some one goes fr sony,samsung,etc.,
That all phones are haven't its performance ...
Battery back up..no hanging problem..
Tatally such a wonderful phone..

sandeep, 25 Sep 2014i am using m2 last 4 months. it was excellent but some prob... moreIt is impossible i also using this phone there is no hanging problem etc. It is a nice phone i used it for 3-4 hours but no heat i think ypu have a carbon copy of gionee m2

Gionee has concentrated on the most imp thing that is battery and heating issues. Smooth function, average looks but awesome battery. Only problem is the phone is heavy, looks are not that great but these can be changd with a cosmetic makeover. Keep up the good work Gionee. The battery atleast lasts for 3days with 2g network

The network on my phone keeps dropping down in certain area whereas if I use the same sim in a different phone it works properly . .I cannot use any internet apps

I am 60 year old Zambian in possession of the Gionee smart phone which I bought from China last year.It is a wonderful phone however, I forgot my pass word and now I cannot access my phone. What can I do. Shall be happy to hear from you.

ok... after a month of test running this phone, I can tell u it handles games perfectly... those complaining about Ram can use cleanmaster to get the best outta their gionee m2... it's camera it's mid range, common u dnt expect 20mp for a phone dat price... 8mp back n 2mp front does the job well... I wouldn't wanna talk about the ba3, Buh battery wise this phone is a beast!!! 4200mah? we got to respect dat, dey actually focused on d ba3 which is a nice thing... the screen however disappoints, it's looking too ancient from wah I saw n what I see... it's also bulky phone (we can accept that cos of the monster battery in it)... if this doesn't suit ur taste, well move on to the next!!! it's a wicked phone for that price... and remember err1 has different opinion(this is mine)
