I heard the 32gb version was gonna cost around €800 in our country if/when it's released. No way in 800 years I'd pay that much for this phone unless I'm a millionaire! Nothing in this phone is worth that much. Nothing! Google seems to want to be the next Apple with their exclusive hardware, only accessible to people with way too much money >.> 500-600 euros would have been enough to compete with Samsung's flagships, the S7 and S7 Edge.

And despite the steep price the Pixel was already sold out in the US. So there must be a lot of stupid people living there who happen to be rich too.

I don't buy the "more is better" marketing hype in which over the years the screens, resolution, number of processors, and price keep getting bigger. I don't want anything bigger than 5" in my pocket. I still use a non tablet computer for most things. I type 53 wpm I cannot do that on any touchscreen, no matter how large.

          Google had to my opinion 2 mistakes: price- I'm sure Samsung will see more sales of 7s and edge. The 2nd is screen size- not too many people will look for 5" nowadays. The deal of T mobile will help them to sell some and some out dated technology used , i think samsung and moto give best technology , google mobile give to much costly , it survive so decreased priced.

                  the only advantage is you will get unlimited cloud storage to store your pics and videos. I will never buy 57000 phone for just one benefit and will never recommend anyone to buy this.
                  Moto, samsung, Xiomi to mention few selling much better phone than this as low as 20K.. NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT

                    I have an interesting observation about this phone. Of course this may not be true every where, but I just can't ignore it too.

                    I was at local authorised retailer outlet of Pixel. They had put up demo handsets of Pixels,iPhones and Samsung next to each other. Most of People looking for good handset and willing to pay amount (specially Novo rich),first asked for iPhone. But after looking at Pixels next to iphones,they were curious. And after knowing that it runs Android ( though looking like iPhone) they were happy to buy it.
                    Interestingly though on-counter person explained about Samsung also, yet 80% preferred Pixels , specially Pixel XL.
                    In fact Samsung counter had all its current top end handsets ( S7,S7edge and all A to Z siblings with numbers) on display. Yet it was Pixels which attracted crowd.

                    Makes me feel that Google must have spent time on market research before freezing the Design of Pixels. Probably people want physical looks of iPhone but a soul of Android.

                    I doubt if any retailer would be able to confirm this observation,since they may never have such specific data in place.and their overall concern shall be more on overall sales rather than such pin point observation.

                    It will be great if someone has any such or some different observations.

                      Hence, they are unable to provide with detailed review.

                        The phone is released for more than a week now. Its strange that GSMARENA doesn't have any review yet. I have the phone for last two days. Its pretty early but i think google did a brilliant job. Yes its not waterproof, and the benchmarks are not what was expected. But when it counts it delivers. The camera is very very good and the performance is phenomenal.

                            Samsungng,LG,one+, VIVO,are all examples of bloated Android.that is why your phones stst lagging in course of time,no matter ho high ram you have on board.

                            Motorola has nearly stock Android. SONY has minimal add one. Xiaomi modifies the Android but it is still lightweight compared to Samsung and others.

                                      lmao. androidcentral just posted the most logic defying review in the history of phone reviews claiming pixel is "best overall android phone" even though its inferior to an S7 is EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY and has the same MSRP. Oh they are also subverting the comment section to make sure nobody exposes their stupidity.
