Man, to hell with small bezels. They have very little to do with a phone being good. I care about the quality of the display and the internals. Screen to body ratio is not very important, It's just a trick by hardware companies to make you think you need to keep buying a new phone every year, even though the improvements that actually matter have slowed considerably. No one even cared about this 2-3 years ago until they programmed you into thinking that you should.

And the video stabilization is also pretty good. Good display, good speakers. If you want Sd 855 buy a phone with that processor. Pixel 3a will still win in some areas

I think this is decent choice. I would totally down just because the design. some people might argue that the bezel is too thick maybe? oh come on now, it's not that bad. it actually helps you operate the phone with one hand. I love old classic design without notch. it looks clean and still elegant. but seeing the price tag and called it "mid-range" is definitely not true and a bummer, especially for those who live in developing countries. it won't be 399 USD here, it will be significantly more expensive than other great phones which is sucks.

Mi 9 costs just ~425 usd while 3a cost ~485 usd in my country. Pay 60 usd more for its camera and software while getting inferior overall package? Maybe not. Pixel 3a should be priced at 299 usd, maybe we will see that during black friday sale.

This is FAR from the value and quality offering they provided in their Nexus program. Actual flagship specs for a midrange price. This is still a money grab.

C'mon guys give Google a little credit here. I know this phone doesn't have the latest and greatest for the asking price. But if you compare it with the latest Nexus devices it's definitely not bad. The Nexus 5x and Nexus 6p launched in September of 2015, Nexus 5x was tagged at U$S379 for the 16GB model and U$S429 for the 32 GB variant (a lot more expensive in Europe at €479 and €529 respectively). And Nexus 6p cost was U$S 499 for 32GB model, U$S 549 for 64GB and U$S649 for the 128 GB version (€649, €699 and €799! in Europe) Maybe you could say that Nexus phones had the best hardware at the time. But seriously, how much better this phones are compared to them, tech has advanced tremendously and so I think these phones are a good replacement for the Nexus phones.

It is definitely over-priced for these specs, and how can it be so wide and tall, and only a 5.6" screen inside?
Look at the new Alcatel budget and mid-segment phones, they have a 6" screen and smaller body than these!

Google thinks we are fools! 39999 for pixel 3a in India. Joke!
