This smartphone is very good value. It has a full high definition screen, a snappy 8 core processor, incredible camera software for portrait mode, night mode and incredible editing in gallery. The rear fingerprint scanner is fast and secure, and the phone has clean Google software for a stock Android experience. The holepunch does not block much of the screen. The big screen is perfect for all hands, and the battery life is very good, especially as it has an 18W fast charger in the box. The vibrations and haptics are very good and it is very smart, with Google assistant having the latest features. There is an always- on display and the OLED display is an excellent bonus feature.

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2020I am confused between samsung a71 and pixel 4a. Need guidance. a71 is slightly better in hardware. But pixel 4a offers gerat software and a small form factor. Personally I love the size of the 4a. I am SO glad i got it. Gonna be a whilte till the next good small phone comes out

Been using this for a month now; absolute beast of a phone at this price point.
Pros: Very fast and responsive, no bloatware, good camera, fast updates for latest stock Android, gestures work well, relatively cheap compared to flagships, no gimmicky expensive and useless features (e.g. curved screen)
Cons: Screen temperature is warm ONLY (colour correction is only for colour blindness), brightness (even on max) is slightly lacking, battery capacity is so-so

Run Malwarebytes and see if that helps

This pixel 4a is garbage. I often can't get online. It goes black, won't send photos, can't always use Gmail, it turns off the ringer, can't look at anything without a barrage of interfering ads, apps don't work on it, it's almost entirely unresponsive to touch, and so much more. I took it to the Verizon store as defective, & they said too bad. I called Verizon about it and they also said too bad, it's your problem now. I wouldn't take another pixel 4a if it was free. It's the most expensive trash I've ever purchased

The microphone stopped working after upgrade to Android 11. Talked with google store and they said this is a hardware problem and ask to send back phone for repair. Very much trouble and understand this issue is getting common. Think before u buy this phone !!

Does anyone know when Amazon will start shipping to south america again?
I wanted to buy it but apparently is not availible to import to any country like Peru, Aregntina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, etc. I wanted to import it from Amazon because it was cheaper for me (around $450) but I asked at a local shop they were offering it at $527. TOO MUCH. Google should try to expand its market, at least the "a" series of their phones...
