Anonymous, 29 Aug 2020RAM and internal storage have nothing to do with each other... moreThank you mate. This question has been bugging me for so long now. The offer I am getting is almost unbelievable. The difference between 128 and 512 is just 15 dollars. But, I was worried my ram an performance would take a toll. Thanks again.

Smith, 28 Aug 2020I just enquired about S10 Lite at a local store. Apparently... moreRAM and internal storage have nothing to do with each other. More internal storage is always better unless the cost is prohibitive and no, higher internal storage doesn't use more RAM. More apps running simultaneously/multi tasking is what uses more RAM.

Go with the higher internal storage therefore if it costs just a little bit more. You can never have enough of storage if you plan on recording 4K/8K videos and if you have lots of media files (movies, music, high resolution photo collection, offline YouTube and Netflix downloads, offline encyclopedia, etc.), not to mention if you want copies of your personal laptop/desktop files and work files accessible and always with you, with or without internet connection.

Samsung's DEX mode has transformed the way people use their phones so more than enough local storage (phone internal storage or micro sd storage) is ALWAYS better than limited 128GB storage without micro sd expansion like in the Pixel 4a.

Also, internal storage congestion causes serious LAG problems and ACCELERATED WEAR of internal storage (because you'll have to read/write/erase files often that are stored on the same sectors of the internal storage).

Also, ample local storage (phone or micro sd) means instant file accessibility without paying for or wasting time and internet data on cloud services, which makes your files easily accessible to a multitude international hackers who are seasoned, more skilled, and sophisticated. Nothing is more secure than having the files encrypted on your phone or on micro sd and having back ups of them in your laptop/PC).

Unbelievable how many phone manufacturers produce s+it phones. They miss out such a key features in this case ip rating plus the finger print sensor on the back and they charge 800 bucks!! I'm not even mentioning the subpar processor, UFS 2.1 instead of 3.0 (at least). Google and other s+it phone makers I have a solution - just publish your PayPal account details stop producing phones and just beg for the money donations

Smith, 28 Aug 2020I just enquired about S10 Lite at a local store. Apparently... moreNothing to do with each other. Storage only slows down when it has less than 10% free space left, because it's using that 10% as cache.

I had the S10 Lite and returned it due to green tint. If you buy one, check it with darkmode and return it in time.

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2020SD 855 has plenty of power to last you more than 3 years. ... moreI just enquired about S10 Lite at a local store. Apparently under a scheme, I am getting 8gb/512gb at more or less no more than 8gb/128gb. The difference in negligible, just 15 odd dollars. No I am tempted to go for the 512gb variant but am scared that 8gb ram might find it hard to handle 512gb. Are my fears justified or does ram and internal storage have nothing to do with each other?

Wait, I thought It was $349, not $544.99, anybody can tell me why?

                          1. Simple, reliable, affordable, light, and COMPACT ..will be happily disappear into my jeans easily.
                          2. Pure Android , safe and clean , no extra useless apps which many can't be removed by the users.
                          3. You'll get Android version updates at least 3 years from First Hand, fast.
                          4. A couple of useful cameras ( as cool as F*** ) are always better than a bunch of useless cameras.
                          5. Here in Europe you pay about the same price but you'll get a Snapdragon, instead of Exynos (samsung)

Smith, 27 Aug 2020Thank you so much. Every suggestion I receive is pushing me... moreSD 855 has plenty of power to last you more than 3 years. Even midrange processors nowadays (snapdragon 730) will be more than enough. So unless you are a heavy gamer that demands the highest graphics settings, SD 855 should be more than enough for the forseeable future. Lags are caused by many factors: among them, internal storage nearing full capacity, internal storage accelerated wear from frequent media read/write/erase (better use micro sd for media files), software update corruption problems (especially major software updates, which can be resolved by factory reset) and defective or fake micro SD cards (just replace the micro sd card). Of course, there's also intentional/engineered lags to force a user to upgrade or buy a new phone. My suggestion is to avoid installing the last few software updates if your phone is nearing 2 years old. These are usually the killer software updates that create lag problems when previous to the software update there was none.

gonna do the same. I originally wanted the 4a, but the 5 will have a 6 inch display in the exact same body size as well as a SD 765 which is important for using it a long time.

Hi, I would like to hear you opinion about Pixel 4a vs. Huawei P30.
My current phone just died and I'm thinking about buying one of these two. (Currently in my country the P30 is for sale at the same price as the Pixel, however the latter will only be available here from October.)
For me the most important things are the compact size, good photography and I'm planning to use the phone for 3-4 years, so it should still work properly after those years. I'm also concerned a little bit of the fingerprint reader on the P30, that it will not work as smoothly under the screen as the Pixel's on the back.
Do you think it worth to wait for the Pixel or should I just buy the P30?

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2020Hi, I would like to hear you opinion about Pixel 4a vs. Hua... moreThe P30 is better overall although being a Huawei phone, Android 10 may be its last update. Also, even if it has an overall better camera setup, and has high quality photo output from Huawei's own camera app, when it comes to really low light, I'm positive it still wouldn't outperform GCam's Night Sight. There's very little development on GCam with Night Sight for Kirin, Exynos and Mediatek devices and that's part of the reason why I always go for snapdragon based devices.

3.5mm jack, average 4000 mah battery, good look, average sd 768 processor, best camera simple... Price is not matter if they provide some basic features atleast., Why Google not provide basic stuffs like this but they provide you from past 4 years like

Useless soli radar chip, Usb c dongle, poor battery life, garbage e-sim half backed dual sim features, slow 7.5W wireless charging
