It's patheti... moreapart from everything a fanboy here tells you, you must ask one basic question first - do you want to buy your phone from a hardware company or a software company. and then decide on everything else. infact samsung makes almost everything themselves. the warranties they give and their after sales services are for real better than anyone else in the world. i have no idea where one would go if they damage the gorilla glass 3 on this phone.

No company other than apple and google will give their midrange devices such long support. But let be it. They will understand it when their Samsung device will stop getting it even in first year of android update. Been there with samsung and xiaomi. The ONLY Xiaomi midrange phone that supported long was the FIRST xiaomi poco phone. And that is it.

Android versions are dedicated to pixel devices. It does not matter how many years they give update to your phones unless they make it compatible with your phone.

      A52 makes sense but that's the only A series samsung has ever sold with proper pricing. I have options to grab A52 for $400 but I still pick 5a for 550$ because I am sure it will get 3 yrs of update, not just be given by Ss.

        2. Samsung will never give A series 3 years of updates. And if he does, it will be AT LEAST 1 year later than pixel.
        3. Phone price is 450$. You cannot compare some "retailer" price with official price. Applea and oranges.
        4. For "just gaming and photo" samsung skin is too power consuming. You have no idea because you have never done a simple ROM debug and never even used a logging session for detection of lagging. I advise you to do it and then you will understand.
        5. Considering all above you definitely are blindly accusing Google probably because the phone is not sold in your country. Well, boo ## hoo.

        Learn to know the basics of arguments you are doing before accusing me of false statements. It is easy to hide in "anonymous" author but it is hard when you hear the truth. And you are wrong.

Qualcomm only support up to 3 years of software update and not only you're wrong, you're literally telling others that this phone is better than Samsung a series. Samsung a52s 5g have snapdragon 778g, ip 67,120 hz screen and 3 years software updates while this phone have 765g,90 hz screen and 3 years of software update. Meanwhile samsung is cheaper just at 400 dollar while this pixel is 699 dollar. I understand that some people prefer stock android and crazy camera nerd will chose this phone over samsung. But for some people who just wanted to use their phone for gaming of maybe just watching YouTube might prefer samsung over this pixel 5a 5g.


          I honestly prefer samsung over this because of the faster screen,bigger battery and better chipset and most of the people out there probably will go for Samsung too because its cheaper but as i said earlier some people prefer pixel stock android and better camera software. Spammer nowadays just hype over this phone and say something bad about other phone that they can't afford for themselves. Pathetic

Instead, ask yourself questions and answer them. Will you need longer battery life? Do you need bigger screen? Will you be playing heavy online games? Do you need high computational power? Do you need more than 6GB RAM? Are you interested in getting security and android updates as soon as available or do you mind to get it 1 year later or maybe not at all?

            Answers to these questions will help you decide. If you check the forum posts you will mostly see pathetic people trying to decrease the value of phone so that they can buy it or devaluating the phone so that nobody else than them buys it. This is the unfortunate truth

                  Think about it ;)
                  And btw, I wouldn't believe that samsung A series will get as much android updates as a google pixel device. It will never get as much update

                                      It's finally great to see a Pixel with a headphone jack and IP rating. If Google can expand this combination feature to the flagship models as well, that would be a solid buy. But at $449, it cost the same as the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G and also the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G in my country. Being a Pixel phone, it does have the advantage of being the first in line to get the very latest OS version update. However, those Samsung phones do have a more solid feature. While the A72 4G has a lower 90Hz screen refresh rate than the A52 5G's 120Hz, the A72 4G does have a 3x zoom telephoto camera. Plus, they both have microSD card support. The Pixel, by contrast, only has a 60Hz screen refresh rate and no microSD card support. So really, it's either you care about hardware features or you care about timely updates.
