You will easily get through the day using Spotify, YouTube, texting, emails, video calls, etc. I've had no overheating issues using 4k@60fps or any overheating in general like what I've been reading and hearing from reviewers. Sure, it gets a little warm while using multiple apps but what smartphone doesn't lmao.

Call it pure Android experience and software optimization. Add to that the wonderful camera performance.

So breakable. Dropped this phone sitting down onto carpet and it's FRIED. Worked okay for the 3 months I had it. Nothing special.

Have anyone experience problems after February update?
After update battery drain extremely fast in both ways standby and while in use.
Also i lost network all the time,got overheating and also no ringtone sound.
I wrote with google support and they want me to send them phone to repair,that mean that phone is damaged with sofware how i understand.

One of the best if not the best Pixel phones released yet. Battery is amazing and stands for 8 hours or so of SOT, performance is blazing fast even on gaming with minimal heat. Camera is wonderful experience and the phone size is just great. This phone can be your best choice among all other pixels due to affordable price and the great overall experience it offers.

I had an original pixel and loved it. Unfortunately it lost it's ability to rotate the screen and a replacement battery started losing is capacity after 6 months. I bought the 5A because of the excellent reviews online, I liked my original pixel and because I expected that the transition would be fairly seamless.
Sadly, I cannot recommend the Pixel 5A and I would not buy it again. I also encourage anyone considering it to look at review within the Google online tech support system itself. 100's of people have the same complaints. Be aware that Google is not providing any phone support which the message says to protect their tech support staff from COVID which seems very strange to me as so many tech support staff are working from home.
One of the main complaints is the very limited ability to customize the home screen and other functions - which is why lots of pixel purchasers did not buy iphones. As a result, about 1/3 of the home screen is used for an unnecessary date 'bar' that cannot be removed. Same for a large bar at the bottom that deals with google functions that are easily found elsewhere. The only solution is to purchase an independent launcher. Be aware that almost nothing automatically was set up as my original pixel. I spent hours online learning about how to change the default settings. I like some new features (like adaptive battery) and the phone camera is excellent as always. I have had a serious problem with the phone dropping calls in the middle of a call - many people complained about this, too. My husband's iphone does not drop calls in the same locations and my previous google pixel did not either.
I agree with other posters on this site that the controls on the side of the phone are intermittently super sensitive but also regularly almost completely non-responsive.
I don't want to go on and one but it took me hours to get this phone to function close to how I want it to function - and which I liked about my previous phone.
