No headphone jack and no SDCard slot, so no go for me. I'm also wary of Google offloading their AI analysis of every detail in my life with the new Tensor chip. They expect me to pay them for hardware to analyze me, for their profit? Anyone else see something wrong here?

Same specs as Samsung Galaxy S10 5G released early 2019. Only differences: screen 120Hz on the Pixel, x4 zoom instead of x2 zoom, a bit less bloat. The Samsung has a 3.5mm camera and 256 GB storage on base model.
S10 5G also costs 450 euro less these days... Really debating if the Pixel 6 Pro is a good investment.

All flagship phones are already overkill with their CPUs and what people do or even capable to do on phones, even couple generation older phones/chips. Phones already reached thermals threshold and not able to cool CPUs anymore or avoid throttling when pushed for even short period of time.
"Why should I not buy a more powerful competitor's phone?" feel free and enjoy your benchmark scores or say that you have the most powerful chip on a phone at that point and time, because that is going to be it what you will be doing with having the most powerful chip for the most part. It is simple and honest truth.

I'm a pixel user, and I'm really not seeing anything earth shattering with the Pixel 6 pro. All I really see is some nice cameras. I'm not a photographer by any means. I just want a powerful phone that isn't loaded with a bunch of BS and doesn't bottleneck when I'm multi-tasking and running android auto at the same time. 5 years of updates doesn't do anything for me either as the updates they'll send in 2 years will probably make the device slow down and become obsolete anyway if I haven't worn it out by then. Why should I not buy a more powerful competitor's phone?

I don't understand the appeal of actual telezoom lenses in smartphones. They all look like crap, some more some less. Still crap

sumdumguy, 12 Oct 2021I'm not seeing aptX mentioned anywhere in the Samsung ... moreWhere are you looking for it, on a phone?
Exynos version of S21 Ultra have aptX among other codecs. Once again, it has nothing to do with CPU used.
How other products like BT speakers, headphones and other gear have aptx if they don't even have a CPU?

The Pixel 6 Pro is extremely promising. I couldn't be happier that they brought back a telephoto. It would have been better if the vanilla 6 had it as well, but it's a start I guess. Hopefully all future Pixels have a telephoto lens, even base models.

Same as S21 Ultra supports aptx codec with Exynos CPU.
Yet some brands can dismiss having aptx if they go for superior LDAC, specially when talking about top end phones, because they also want you to buy expensive BT headphones. Still I am not a fan of any BT headphones, convenient when working, working out or need noise cancellation, when least care about audio quality.

I can't believe Google didn't brought back the headphone jack, considering the flak they gave Apple in the commercials. I'll get a Sony Xperia I III next year and that's it :(

Person who got the phone and is responsible for many Pixel 6 leaks, said it supports aptX HD. Also phones even like OnePlus Nord 2 which rock MediaTek chip, still rocks Qualcomm's aptX HD codec.
Anyway if you are into sound, you should be interested in LDAC only and proper non BT headphones, and powering them via DAC/Amp like Fiio BTR5 and connecting it via BT to a phone.
