Anonymous, 11 Oct 2022That charger isn't in very good shape either 😔The best of both worlds would be if they made it optional for 2-3 years. That would be incredible for both the consumer and the environment. After that period they would be allowed to remove it as many people would already be prepared.

GPS fix please, it is very slow in finding precise location. Even if i use walk option on Google Maps, it just cant find the right direction even.

Just demoed the 6a for the first time at a store. I had already forgiven Google for going with 60hz, considering its advantages.
I thought this hands-on experience would make me say "hey, this display isn't actually that bad after all", but it in fact did the opposite.
For some reason 60hz feels really choppy on vanilla A12, especially the UI animations such as pulling down the QS or opening the app drawer. I remember the 4a and 5a weren't even that choppy and they were also 60hz. Maybe it has something to do with software optimization.

Get the A... moreBut it's got two X1 Cores in it, all it'd need after that would be Armv9 and I'd say it's my favourite chip (Even next to Apples) Tensor SoC might've been partially made by Samsung but they never had anything like it to my knowledge, Google is the first to try with two main cores vs just one.

Seems to vary from one to the next, so a build quality problem. My interest was in the better voice recording algorithm. Haven't seen any comments about that yet. The other options seem to be A53, A23 5G, Moto G32, Moto G82.

Curls, 13 Oct 2022Same decision Galaxy a53 or Pixel 6a Galaxy has more upd... moredon't get the 53, it has Samsungs CPU in it. Get the A52s 5G which has a Qualcomm CPU. Much better. Also the A52s is better than the pixel 6a. I've got both. I don't like the pixel.

I spent ages researching phones. Loads of people told me about how amazing and wonderful the 6a is. Now that I've got it in my hand, i'm hugely disappointed. If I stand near my window holding the phone, I get about half bars of signal and around 100 megabits on 5G. If I hold my Samsung A 52s 5G then I get about 90% signal and 450 megabits on 5G. This phone is absolutely rubbish for data. I also can't tell it to prefer WiFi over GSM but maybe this is carrier related and not the phone, but I can on other phones with the same SIM card. Lastly I find these supposedly amazing camera images must have been done in very specific conditions because the shots i take with it come out average at best. I was in the pub yesterday, I took a picture of my family, it looked worse than a picture from my daughters 5 year old Sony.
Yet every review sings this phone's praises. I don't get it. Nobody says the camera is rubbish everyone says its excellent and even some people say it beats iPhones and S21 camera .. really? with a 12Mpx sensor? hahah

Following Android update from 12 to 13, there is very,very high incidence of call drops. The video streaming in train has become extremely poor. Did not expect such poor instrument from Google.

Pixel is 6 months newer has no SDcard, 178g
