I've bought this phone second hand for about $280 still with a 20 month warranty and I love it. As a previous owner of LG G8X I wanted a waterproof phone with a good camera and smaller form factor. I tried Motorola Edge 40 (don't like the curved screen), Asus Zenfone 8 (too small) and this Pixel 6a fits my needs perfectly. I like it's shape with sharp corners, which helps me to hold this phone really well even when using gloves in my work as a gardener. I use a Spigen Rugged Armor cover. Battery is very good, easy 1,5 days of nonstop 5G data on, fingerprint sensor works really good and the system is super snappy and responsive. Android 14 works great. I'm really happy with this purchase so far and can't recommend this pohone enough for any user with limited budget.

Fingerprint sensor is awful, i've tried all fix, fail rate still very high. I'm using pattern unlock instead.
It's so annoying that I'm thinking of changing to another compact phone, even though the photos won't be as good.

I have owned this phone for a while. Got it from Metro for 50 bucks and they unlocked it after 6 months. It heated up the first month but a software update seemed to solve that. Sure, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but the processor is solid. I am a fan of 6 inch powerhouses and this fits the bill. I don't like trying to keep up with a baby flat screen as a daily driver. I use an OG Note 9 while at home for reading or for when I don't want to crank up my laptop. I look forward to the Pixel 8a. I hope they don't change the formula much.

Hi I bought Google pixel 6a last year February, from the date I bought I am facing network coverage issues, mostly I got missed calls only , sometimes calls cannot get connect, network error. I went to the phone shop, than they said it's because of 5G , and changed the settings into 4G but still I am facing the same problem, even I can't make an urgent call to anyone, please help , this is my first Google pixel phone and I am fed up with it. I feel like I wasted money

Hence, it could be something else causing the overheat issues. People reporting this stuff should use a battery monitor app to determine which processes are eating up their juice, before rushing to conclusions.

The January 5th update messed up everything, The heat and the battery drainage is unbearable, this is what happens when they're "making improvements and fixing little bugs" they end up messing up the whole software.
