Only because of GrapheneOS buys Pixel devices. I had 5a died suddenly, unexpectedly, without any signs beforehand. I lost a lot of data. I bought 7 is big, bulky poorly made. After a few months started to have problems. No more of this mess. Time to buy a Sony.

to enjoy your pixel change your
1. stock wallpaper to any wallpaper you like. sometimes bug comes from stock wallpapers.
2. turn off features you don't intend to use. Mine I turned off my adaptive battery to off. minimize gestures, keyboard etc.
3. disable apps you don't need. It eats ram and storage space. minimalist approach.
4. I used pear launcher its almost the same as stock pixel launcher but not a battery hog.

Hello gsmarena.. Im a sammy user. First tried this google pixel 6a. Im from PH. I don't buy high end phones. I don't use apple. Mostly entry level and midrange android I use. They sell here pixel 6a. I don't know if it is brand new or refurbished. Taxes are high here. In America its 199 usd converted here its 300usd. When charging for the first time it gets hot. The screen and phone is hot but still I can hold it. When I was using Galaxy a51 same happens to me like pixel. So I tried to declutter the phone from its features. Change it to minimalist phone. Got myself a wallpaper and seems like pear launcher does its job from tuning the stock pixel launcher. Disabled stuffs I dom't intend to use. The camera of pixel 6a is the best for its price. 5g is disabled here. 4G is best in my country. I am not a heavy user. I just use it for camera, surfing, youtube, amazon prime because I have 360 days free with a purchase on my sim, Sms texting and calls. Haven't put on social media apps like fb, tiktok and instagram. I am still on learning mode. Pear launcher gives me good battery backup. Next time I would try Nova launcher for customization.

Unfortunately we the users "pay the bill", Google filled up the market with these "upgradeable" phones, Google has now the "melon and the knife"...
Why only the Google Pixel phones can receive upgrade to the last Android versions?
Because Google is manipulating the Market.
Every year we have to buy another device or we buy a Google Pixel.
"In the name of Security", yeah right, everything is for the Money...

Unfortunately Metro keeps their phones locked for 180 days (this includes OEM unlocking for the bootloader) so I'm a little disappointed, but for $170 I can't complain.

Google pixel 6a camera is good. But all are things are bad I am using pixel 6a from march 2023 from starting in this device there is heating and network issue. No support from google team. After that on 1 Oct device's screen goes to blank and service center refused to repair in warranty saying that the Display Replacement is not covered in warranty. I think if the display is not got physically damaged the company should replace it without any charge. But google not done it and the display coast is too high I am not going to be repaired on my money because I am not satisfied with google services. Guys if you are camera lover of course that is good device but the service is very bad. Go for another options, There are many options in market. Leave It.

Had this phone as back up for a Pixel 6. Gave it to my Mom because she kept saying she was running out of memory on her Galaxy A02s. I think she will like it I know we tried to get to use an iPhone 7 and she hated it. The 128 GB will be hard to fill up.

Ever since i updated my phone to android 14 the camera got absolutely useless! Keeps crashing like crazy and the quality became garbage! was happy with my phone till now, i will have to return it.

Got Android 14 update on my phone.
It seems like refinement of previous version. Everything is working fine. No problems as of now. Battery life has improved.
Will update after using it for a month.

Android 14 update was made immediately available for this phone yesterday. All seems to be working fine. Not many changes more like refinements really.

tried it and the Galaxy A14 5G in the phone shop and it was like a night and day difference lol
the funny thing is that it's going to receive updates for longer than the crappy galaxy

Just bought the Pixel 6A about 2 weeks ago, replacing my Samsung A52 5g. Difference between the two phones: Pixel has a worse connection on the same cellular provider as before, calls are not dropped but voice calls have dead zones (missing spoken words). Even though the Pixel screen is 60 Hz the software experience feels smoother than the 120Hz One UI. As well Pixel performs tasks much faster than the A52 5g. The Pixel camera app has faster shooting and better quality. I also prefer the Pixel's size and stock software which was the main reason for the change.
