Especially in the chip and integration department.The ecosystem needs to be lag free too

Last year's Galaxy S23 Ultra already had UFS4.0.

Positive, 26 Mar 2024Google Pixel is something else, especially the battery life... moreI mean it's really not bad at all as people are trying hard to make it look like. I have the phone myself and the battery and performance of this phone is very good! even if its not close to Sd8Gen3 .. the battery gets you through one full day easily, so stop whining just because you have too! No one outside some X people knows what a snapdragon is lol! Majority of people care is good screen, camera, battery and user experience, Which it does deliver when combining all that!
It provides excellent user experience, smooth software and due to this specific reason it received numerous awards in Android...
This phone is good for keeping it for next 3 to 4 years maximum.. statistically if you look into reality, no one has ever in their life kept a single phone that long .. maybe a very small % of people. Majority of people change their phone within 2 to 3 years, So for most people this phone is an excellent choice. especially the Pixel 8! considering its price and its always on sale mostly.

Google Pixel is something else, especially the battery life and performance aspect. I find it hard to understand how MKBHD copes with it 🌚💀

Bro, Google... Your phone is overpriced.
It also performs worse than a Samsung Galaxy S24+ which is a cheaper device and looks way more premium with slimmer bezels. It has over 91% screen to body ratio, while Pixel 8 Pro only has 87% which is mid range phone style.

If only Google had not ditched Qualcomm in 2021 in favor of their custom in-house custom tensor chip, the pixel 8 pro would have been a far better phone overall. Qualcomm which has a long history of excellence and the leader in android based chips is the main reason their current flagship 8 gen 3 is far superior to Google's tensor G3. What Google should've done was put the tensor G3 into the lower line pixel 8 and put the 8 Gen 3 into their top line pixel 8 pro, thus setting those 2 phones apart just as Apple does with their iPhones by using the A16 in the lower line and using the A17 in their top line. That said, it's feasible that Google could go back to using qualcomm chips while retaining tensor chips.

- miserable battery life, can`t use after work, have to charge first (takes forever)
- selfie cam pictures look extremely pale and lifeless, makes every caucasian look like a zombie / dead person
- selfie cam autofocus is not working correctly in business apps like teams or zoom
- food pics look like trash, colors are far too bland
- some colors on pictures are incorrect, green / turquoise is just recorded in plain blue from the camera
Ridiculous for a phone sold for 1300$. Sent it back after 1 week of usage, even my 2 year old S21 FE is better in the points mentioned. Not recommended!
