AnonD-1138975, 18 Jan 2024Lol, complaining about high price for Pixel 8 Pro, then say... moreS24U might be more expensive, but it delivers.
I`m still using a S21FE, still very good optimization after 2 major OS updates.

Please suggest which phone will remain better for buying the OnePlus 12 or Google Pixel 8 Pro. Anyone could me suggest?

In Czechia the S24U is 400EUR more expensive than the Pixel 8 Pro, for the base models.
Of course, the S24U is more powerful, but the software experience (especially in time), I think is better on Pixel. Google squeeze's everything from Tensor chipset, while Samsung just puts best of the best on Ultra models and then good luck with the software optimization. It could be ok now, but I am not sure how it will look after 2-3 OS updates.

I sent my Pixel 8 Pro back after two weeks because of the following reasons:

          - food pics and selfies look incredibly bland and pale/lifeless, horrible experience
          - in Teams or Zoom calls Autofocus was not working properly, the camera was switching between my face and the background once every second
          - asides of that the quality of the selfie camera is pretty mediocre in general, I saw phones for half the price doing much better
          - after work I couldn't use my phone because the battery was below 20%
          - charging from 20% to 100% took over an hour

Those things are hard to accept for a 600$ phone. The Pixel 8 Pro costs 1300$ for the 512 GB version, absolutely unacceptable. In that price range I expect a smartphone that is nearly perfect.

It's not that I hated everything about the 8 Pro. I absolutely loved the OS, the security features and usability. Loved the Buds Pro too, in combination with this phone it's a dream. Main camera was excellent as well (as long as you don't want to shoot food pics lol). But, the competition in that price range is just too good. Now I`m stuck with my old phone again and will look for a S24 Ultra or S24+.

karim salah, 14 Jan 2024Iam planning to buy it Can a real owner of the device tell... moreI have my 8 Pro since December 1st! I can tell you this is the best Pixel to date google has ever made! Better than Iphone and samsung flagships in many ways.. for me it's Camera, Design and especially its Software wins over anything... I have never had any issues with it so far!
            No network issues
but i use 4g mostly 5g sometimes when needed.
No over heating issues ( had once when i was setting it up for first time)
after that i never had any heating honestly
            No fingerprint issues
No hiccups or lags or anything
First thing you are going to love is super actua flat display. It super bright and colourful. The design is the best of any smartphone for me. Battery life is excellent too. It gives me 7-8 hrs constantly. The Speakers are a big step up from Pixel 7 Pro. Much more bass and sound great if you are a music lover. It can run games easily for certain period of time (30 mins or 1hr) which 95% of the user do. The maximum time i played games on my Pixel are like 1hr 30 mins. It does get bit warm but no lag and works completely fine! but if you are heavy gamer like playing for more than 2hrs, Pixel might not be for you!!! Assuming, it will decrease the performance! I would say, Only gaming phones are better for heavy gamers.
Camera for point and shoot is incredible. I love every shot i take with Pixel, its super natural and colours are pleasing to my eyes. Video is another area where Pixel really improved with 8 Pro. I love Cinematic Pan recording mode. Daytime videos are excellent, in some senario it matches iphone.. Only slight gripe is lens switching is not smooth in video but better than 7 Pro.
Another gripe for me is, if you want best of the best night or low light video, you will have to upload every video to the cloud server for video boost .. It takes quite time wish it was only 5mins wait but anyway trust me the results are astonishing . It beats my friends Iphone in videography at night.
I don't know why some people have negative views about this phone. i understand exynos has had bad reputation so now google working with samsung, they relate the tensor to exynos thats why it gets the hate which i think is odd! considering tensor is not exynos. Anyway, my experience has been amazing. I am loving every bit of it especially the design n blue colour is so amazing to look at! Hope this all helps!

              Iam planning to buy it

It's convenient but it should've been a choice, not mandatory, smartphone makers knew that would've yielded less profits so they removed the jack to further make 3.5mm inconvenient. Predatory. Also, two things, I don't think my phone is getting slow due to updates, like this phone gets hot af a lot, maybe that deteriorated the silicon a little.

It's called programmed obsolesence. Phones can only update 3 OS versions before they begin to get slow. This cripples ios devices.
Excepting custom roms, because that's the people's honest work and not slimy manufacturers trying to make you update.

Every thing works on point for me. Don't know about that guy further below. My only issue is the finger print sensor. It gets my left thumb pretty much all the time (fails 1/10), but fails 9/10 times for my right thumb....UNTIL I took a tip of registering each thumb twice. Yes I know, that means two less fingers, but you only really need the thumbs (unless you're registering your wife or something). Now it's 9/10 not just for left but right as well. Face unlock works unless in an environment with less light. That's expected. It's not infrared like iOS. The only solution is to bump up your screen brightness, which is like blindingly bright day or night. Sounds is loud and has a decent base. 120Hz display is smooooth, and all apps are just snappy. Haptics are in a different class...what else can I say... I have no issues. 8.5/10 experience so far. -1 for the finger print sensor, and -0.5 because I haven't tested it on cellular network as yet.

One of the worst phones, Fingerprint works once in 20 tries. face unlock works only in the same environmental and weather conditions as the first scan. The audio is terrible. processor is even worse than the tensor g2, games lag even on the lowest quality. Battery takes ages to charge, moments to drain. my xiaomi redmi note 11 pro was way better if it wasn't for their constant ads.

I will never buy a pixel again with this stupid processor Tensor(Exynos), buying a pixel you get problems with missed calls and network loss. I don’t understand what idiots from Google management decided to switch to this problematic processor, even Samsung abandoned it in their flagships. Only Snapdragon - only Rock'n'roll)
