I'm starting to have more and more serious doubts about the reliability of battery tests on Gsmarena... It's clear from all the available tests on YT and opinions that the P8 Pro has a much better battery life than for example iPhone 15, while herę the results are quite the opposite...

It only gets warm when playing few games altogether and that my friend every phone does. So stop Capping maybe that is just your experience. I have this phone since launch I have never had this phone get hot. It does get warm but thats normal with every phone. This is the best phone experience you can ever have on Android device by far!

I like this phone except you have to cope with Google's asinine engineered disadvantages and planned obsolescence, such as the braindead "no button button" gesture bar misfeature that adds crap to your screen and burns your OLED and can be turned off in every vendor but Google, or the lack of card slots and so on.

Carlos2019, 21 Oct 2023For those of you who own a Google Pixel, I know Pixel doesn... moreThis may only apply to me, but I really don't worry when a phone doesn't come with an integrated app for any kind of functionality, since I always personally look and search for open source or more open options. In the case of cleaning cache, there's this app on F-droid called cache cleaner that is honestly faster than other ones I've used like CCleaner.
I do the same with file manager, I use Material Files. Instead of photos I use Simple gallery. I use breezy weather for my weather app, it has really nice widgets. And so on and so forth. I know the average normal consumer will not look into it, but those who try to use android to its fullest probably find ways.
Also, the only reason I'll buy a P8P is because it's the only new phone with 1TB storage, metal frame, USB 3.2 and a flat screen that works well in the US. Even more I am waiting until the guys from Evolution X make a rom for it, since I don't wanna deal with google software and normally their ROM fixes lots of problems in terms of performance.

Lugia4k, 23 Oct 2023Notebookcheck confirms that Google has blocked benchmarking... moreGoogle isn't blocking benchmarks, it isn't available in the Play Store because the Pixel 8 pro runs Android 14 and isn't compatible with older SDK and benchmarks target older SDK in order to be compatible with older devices.
You can just download GeekBench or any other benchmark APK and it'll work fine.

It sure seems like GSM ARENA has a bias against reviewing Google phone's in full review or in a timely manner. Apple, Samsung, Google and Motorola are the most popular and widely available brands in America. The fact that they have done this consistently is strange. Nobody in the US even has access to a VIVO, Xaomis, Honors and most other no name unavailable brands but the reviews are here. You clearly have American or Canadian reviewers. How is this possible?
