What he's gonna spend his money on is, indeed, not my business nor do I care. Go into crippling debt for all I care, not my problem. Doesn't change the literal fact that SD cards are vastly inferior to the internal storage. Though it should be ok for storing photos and music.

Going with little internal storage and coping with SD cards is a ghetto fix, and it's cheaper for a reason. Pretty much all high end phones hit 1000 EUR without even having 1TB of space. Though honestly no idea how you'd ever use that much space anyway, unless you have the urge to record in 4K, a lot, and neglect to ever delete any of that throughout that phones lifetime.

From the one review I've seen that actually went into low-light, the iPhone managed to retain more usable information when it was VERY dark in video and the telephoto especially. When it comes to just regular photos, normally the Pixel does a better job at keeping a balanced picture that retains all the information. None of the tests were scientific enough to really crown a winner or loser, especially since some of the results are somewhat subjective. Point is, either seems to provide top tier phone camera performance.

I'm eagerly anticipating the review of the Pixel 8 Pro on GSM Arena, with a particular focus on its endurance rating. If it falls short of 100, I'm inclined to believe that this phone may not be a significant upgrade over the Pixel 6 Pro. If Google hasn't enhanced the battery life, it would make sense to introduce 65W fast charging, for goodness' sake

Review also states the dng files do not offer much flexibility to edit.

Where Apple win in low-light? I look on compare Pixel 8 Pro vs 15 Pro Max on Phonearena, but in test pixel 8 pro Is best, better zoom and low-light.
Again, 5X at low light is excellent and very usable on both devices, which is a great thing to see. But what happened at 10X with the iPhone? We can only guess, but it's certain the Pixel wins in this round.

But if you call that out, then the Apple Fanboys are gonna come rushing in to point out raw benchmarks that contribute nothing to actual usage. It's really just pick your poison at that point. GrapheneOS as the most secure and private OS, usable battery life (no, we ain't shooting at 4K, that's just a waste anyway), enough performance to play even the most demanding games on 60+ FPS (with high settings) and a top of the line camera system...even if I'd rather not pay the premium, it remains the best choice overall.
