Phone Arena , Verge, C... moreit's literally what i said!! many have already reviewed it and not here yet... if it had been a samsung from day 1 the review would already be ready... but since the phone is a failure in all senses, maybe they are giving time for something to sell, why they can no longer jump with lies.. ahh the problems are starting to come out, the selfie camera

Anton., 13 Oct 2023They are not going to publish it until some units are sold!... moreSuch ignorant shill garbage. There's already several reviews out there, one search away. So far they state that battery life is about average, but brings you through the day. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad either. It might or might not end up being better if it attunes itself to your usage over time, but that requires longer testing that reviewers had no time for yet: And users obviously couldn't test yet either. None of the heating issues have been confirmed either, in fact, Android 14 apparently even fixed that on the previous generation.

PanRT, 13 Oct 2023Where is review 🤔They are not going to publish it until some units are sold!!! Since it is known everywhere that the exynos, sorry, the tensor 3 is below the snapdragon 8 gen 1, much lower, and that thousand-dollar garbage is still heating up, all the reviewers I have seen make it very clear.. . and the battery life is rubbish... so there will be no review for now and they can't come here to lie because everything is already known about this phone...

[deleted post]Go figure you paid shills can't actually come up with any remotely useful replies. Might as well delete your account before the admins catch on.

Anton., 13 Oct 2023amazing exynos and usf:3.1 memory for 1000 dollars hahahaha... moreI always wonder if people like you are paid shills or really this oblivious (though seeing how relentlessly you hate on those devices, probably the former). None of what you mention has any relevance for practical usage. You understand so little of this, all you have are raw specs to cling onto. It doesn't matter. Sure, it's expensive, especially considering you can get higher numbers on paper for the same or less money. But that's just the hardware. Completely ignoring the software part, actual optimization and software support, is ignorant at best. Generally it's laughable how people get hung up on raw specs all the time. You got nothing else to discuss about it, so you just compare numbers and think "yeah, I know what's better now". Same reason we had this Megapixel race for years, even if it means nothing in practice. What do any of those numbers matter when the end result is still bad? You can have 300MP and still get bad photos due to bad processing. You can have the latest Snapdragon and still have laggy UI because of bad software. Not to mention that those CPUs are already so overkill in raw performance, you pay the full price to only ever use 20% of it. So who cares, you ain't losing anything by putting more money towards software instead.
It's really simple, you don't think it's worth it, you don't buy it. That's all. None of that misinformed crap is gonna help anyone here. If a cheap China phone does it for you, great. Many others may easily pay more just for the software aspect of the Pixel alone. GrapheneOS, or rather the ability to install such things properly without any roadblocks, is one main reason for many. No idea why Google is seemingly the only vendor allowing this, but at least they do. If others allowed the same kind of openness for their hard- and software, we can talk about what prices are "good".

honor: OS with more features, way better SoC and battery life
(as long as you don't play games heavily, if you do battery life gets a major hit cause of the awful cooling, but this probably applies to the 8 Pro as well), faster memory (ufs 4.0 vs 3.1), wired desktop mode and much faster charging (iirc 60W vs 30)

On paper, its a solid phone. Looks good, looking forward to GSMarena review!
Thinking of upgrade from an older phone, would Pixel 8 Pro support True 10bit HDR recording? Would be great if GSMarena team posted the mediainfo file or raw files (video) and can the Pixel's be used for pKVM?
P.S question: Does the GPU support Raytracing? I think, that G715-Immortalis does, but not 100% sure. Would be fun to see the new benchmark in the review

Anton., 12 Oct 2023Don't expect much, other than changing things with AI,... moreSaw a twitter user post an 8 Pro speed test with 545 down, which they were touting but what would an x70 modem be pulling in there at the same time? Sure that is plenty but lets says an x70 grabs 1gb speed - wow everyone says not necessary but under congested conditions that x70 is going to give much better performance and that is where I see an issue. Its like Pixels are deprioritized out of the box. I get over 1gb speeds on my Edge+ all day long.
