Like Google was already ahead of the ai features and even Samsung, well some of it. what's the point buying a 1600$ phone when you don't have anything useful as in (apple intelligence) till their next update.
Also apple makes phones 650$ minimum for their budget.
While android does it for like 350-400$ with almost same camera quality, performance, storage and build strength plus you can save more when switching to another.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2024Every Android company is trying to copy Apple. Looolz I doubt you realize apple is copying everything from androids. For example the only big new feature in past 5 years is dynamic island which was introduced on LG V10 2015. Last time apple was "innovative" while Steve Jobs was alive.

Btw to prove my point more how absu** is to think that apple cares about innovations and phone releases... look at 16 pro max release. The only big thing in that new phone is AI. All ads were about first apple AI in 16 pro max. And on launch it's nowhere to be found. You basically purschasing a phone with PROMISE to bring something new. For now that new phone is no different than 15 pro max lol. Oh yea except camera button which was on android ages ago.

Great phone, been using it for about a month.
It's very responsive, feels nice in the hand, has an amazing camera that shoots great photo and video...
Battery autonomy is also great. I get 8-10h of screen on time on a full charge, and a 30min top-up lasts for about 4h extra. Anyone complaining about the slow charging should consider basic planning skills.
I can't recommend it at MSRP though, it's just way too overpriced IMO, get it on sale.

I had a pixel 6 and it was quite disastrous.
                              1. The phone overheats. After a few months, the battery got swollen and I had to replace it with a new one. Pretty hard to use the camera (especially video) for more than 15 minutes as it overheats and automatically turns off.
                              2. Phone calls disconnect the audio in the middle.
                              3. The software was sometimes buggy, manageable, but still irritating.
Does the Pixel 9 series fix these problems?

Wired charge rate is substantially higher than the 27W posted here. My USB-C volt meter testing showed the phone pulling a peak of 18.4V at 2.62A. That's 48 watts. And it sustained >45 watts until the 70% mark and gradually tapered down from there. I achieved these rates on the UGREEN 100W 4-port Nexode charger, and I believe it was using PPS protocol, not PD.

Sure, it may not have been fully optimized, but it's still slower than some other new devices that aren't fully optimized lol
In the end, it still concludes that it's slower than the others (unless the manufacturer starts to become like Apple, controlling everything inside the phone & optimize everything).

Apple doesn't need high spec as their software is well optimized
while Androids have more attractive specs.
As for myself, as I don't need highest spec (+price) on a phone I choose an Android.
                                      It's mostly just a "preference".
