Leaked Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold promo video shows it opening fully flat

By now, you know how it goes - another day, another Google Pixel 9 leak. This time we're dealing with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google's second ever foldable smartphone. A German language promo video for it has now been leaked, and it gives us a few more details.

This browser does not support the video element.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a larger folding screen than its predecessor, and this can be used for easier multitasking. Google's Magic Editor also makes an appearance in the video, allowing you to change the background of your pictures.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be thinner and lighter than the original Pixel Fold, and this will of course be part of its ad campaign, as is the fact that it opens fully flat to 180 degrees, which oddly enough wasn't something the Pixel Fold could boast. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold's hinge seems to have a new design, one more reminiscent of the OnePlus Open's than its predecessor's.

Finally, Google's Gemini AI gets a shoutout too, because of course it does, and the two colors of the device are shown. These are expected to be called Obsidian (black) and Porcelain (white).

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be unveiled on August 13 alongside the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Buds Pro 2.

I feel the same way

Actually, I think it did, but it did require some force to make that happen. I had it 4 months and after few times I accepted that 179 degrees is way to go 😅

The edges are round but the hinge requires squared off sides. Weird design - looks disjointed
