If they release it too early apps and games might not be ready for android 15 and your handset will have 1001 bugs to deal with. Might have been OK on a cheap old nexus but people want a polished software on their smartphones plus there's more to do seeing as Ai is more integrated into each android version.

Palpal, 16 Aug 2024Why Android 14 and not Android 15? Shame.Good day. Isn't Android 15 since Pixel devices usually had their launch in October with the new Android version. Since were launched in August and not in October due to that Android 14 and not 15. The stable version of Android 15 in October in my opinion and you should expect that some of your users will update to Android 15 at this time or shortly thereafter as device manufacturers start to release updates for their users. Be prepared for new issues that might be reported as the number of users on the latest version of Android increases.
