It wont uninstall it completely, but it will remove most of all the app and to run it, It will be like you just opened it for the 1st time. The Data and Cache will be removed. Great way to gain some extra space if your storage is running low. That's the only solution to removing unremovable apps. Or you could just root your phone and wallah!!! You can remove any and everything. lol Good luck my friend.

Considering the battery capacity to charging speeds ratio (>5000mAh + 23w charging vs 4700mAh + 27w charging) Google in my opinion could have put at least 30w charging.

You can always return it if you don't like it (typically within 14 days - which is plenty of time to test). I got the 8a for a VERY good price: € 330. Next year, if the 10a offers significant improvements, I'll wait for the 11a and get the 10a, otherwise I'll get the 9a. :D

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2025👍👍🏻👍🏾I do not think we can uninstall some Samsung system and third-party apps. That greatly affects the battery life and performance as it uses system resources?

As i mentioned my Xiaomi 14 meets my needs but i cannot stand the two-tier system of the device - as in redundant apps (App mall and the System app installer), ads (which you can stop but not all), the Security app is much slower than the similar Device Care on Samsung, etc.
I read Hyper OS is much lighter than One UI. I believe that. But on my actual usage in the past few months it could be much better.
In terms of One UI can we uninstall or disable most if not all system and first-party apps to "free up" some memory and help improve performance can we? And even if we can it would still be heavier than Hyper OS or Oxygen OS would you agree?
if only the 1+ 13R or Vivo X200 FE is available here in UK/EU.

Gino76ph, 02 Jul 2025Here's a different question: Between the base Pixel 9a... moreIf they both come with 8 GB RAM, I'd go with the 9a just because I like Pixel UI and Google apps more. Samsung has the TSMC and Qualcomm advantage and better build quality, but it could be a less pleasant experience with One UI 7. Had S23 with one UI 6.1 and ran pretty smooth, but the oleophobic coating wasn't the best... I would assume Google and Samsung have figured out how to provide updates to devices with 8 GB or less so that they can still run smooth, but they might not get all the features (side note: Pixel 9a doesn't come with Pixel Studio, if you really need that). 12 GB will become the normal in 3+ years, I'd assume (like, you'd have Galaxy A59 with 12 GB as the base model). Depends how long you are willing to keep the phone. If you're planning for the very long run, please consider Galaxy S25 or Pixel 9 or even the 1+ 13R, if you don't mind bigger phones.

I heard the On UI 7 update on older devices (S24 & S23) have greatly affected the battery life and performance.
Do you think a phone with a minimum 12GB is still better future-proofing? (in terms of multitasking, app loading, general performance BUT less gaming, streaming, video processing).

Things still run good with 8 GB, but 2 or 3 years from now... hard to say. Depends on how much you want to keep it. If Reno 13 is available, 14 should also be, in the near future. Besides, seems to be more pronounced on Pixels (probably because they got more AI stuff running).

Oppo Reno 14 might tickle your fancy? Somewhat smaller and Dimensity 8350 is decent. Also, telephoto camera, but 8 MP UW.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2025Could be worth waiting for Pixel 10, also. It's the Summer sales and companies are offering very food deals now.
By the time Pixel 10 is released it would still be quite expensive. I would wait for the next Pixel discounts come Black Friday or New year or some other special event discount round.

You see my current phone is a Xiaomi 14. That hopefully tells you everything. I've had it for a few months. I feel I want to change it. The main & ultrawide cameras are 8 out of 10 in most cases. Battery life (endurance and actual capacity) could be better, selfies could be better and i hated some presence of ads and this two-tier system similar to Samsung.
I'm still comparing the S25+ and the Pixel 9 Pro. I'll be on another european holiday this November. Do i go down to Pixel 9a level for my basic needs? Any more thoughts?

I think One UI 7 didn't turn out that great, but there are high hopes for One UI 8. To be honest, I think Android itself is moving away from ARM v8, which is to be expected. One UI 7 on Exynos 1580 feels considerably smoother than what you'll find on A36 with SD 6 Gen 3. Could also be the better GPU. After all, Android and One UI are graphical UIs. GPUs are playing more important roles with each new version. Shame about 1+ 13s. I'd buy that asap, too.

I believe with Hyper OS you can disable ads in most if not all of Xiaomi apps. Samsung i heard may start offering ads as well but i can't shake this two-tier system that they have implemented (two types of app stores, calculator, browsers, etc.). Samsung may have the SD Elite but having a "heavier" OS it may still feel sluggish compared to Hyper OS which is very odd and ironic at the same time.
                                        Any more feedback?
