I personally wouldn't change a phone solely on online comments I read. If that's the case you'll be constantly changing phones.

Google support is a joke.

Hi everyone
Ive just taken a contract for a Pixel xl, I'm a week and have no problems at all however I'm looking at the reviews and think i should change it for a s8 as people seem to be having a lot of problems with no help from google.
or do i keep it??

I am very excited to upgrade to Google Pixel XL. I have been using Samsung Note 4 and 5 till now. For the first 15 days great experience, however just after my 15 days return policy expired I started facing the following issues.
1. Bluetooth seems to disconnects from my car when a call ends. I cannot receive any calls or make calls till the time I don't restart the phone and re pair phone with my car Bluetooth.
2. I was advised to reset the phone. I ensured that all of my data, SMS and calling history is backed up from the phone. The phone indicated that these are backed up. Upon resetting I was told by Google CSR that it does indicate on the phone that it's backing up calling history and SMS, however it does not. I lost all my calling history and SMS.
3. Wifi does not turn on automatically when I arrive at home, I need to restart the phone or put in the password every time. You may be looking up HD videos and realise that all your mobile data is used up on a weekend.
4. the screen is reddish and I have been informed by the Google support that this is a hardware issue and cannot be fixed with software update.
I did buy an extended warranty from the retailer, however, all replacements are refurbished phones, essentially buying refurbished phone for the price of New Google Pixel XL.

I have had this phone for over 8 months and I can't wait to get rid of it. Wifi calling shuts off randomly. When it is on it still breaks up when making phone calls. I live where there no service so wifi calling is important. Can't access visual voicemail while at home. Contacted Google and after 8 months of arguing with them they said if I mail them my phone they will send a replacement. I told them if they pay for that weeks worth of service that I won't have my phone I would do that. They refused. Really hopeful for this phone and it has been a slap in the face the while time I owned it. Never will buy a Google phone again.

Good phone. Issues with overheating with Daydream viewer are resolved by using an aluminum heat sink. I seem to have some issues with losing 4G on occasion, a better antennae is in order for the newer version. Love the phone otherwise.

I've had my Pixel XL for 8 months and I've had absolutely ZERO problems with it. I've been using high end Android phones for years. This is the best performing phone I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

Had the Google pixel for 7 months, having charging problems and overheating. Total waste of money. I would not recommend this phone

I have purchased Google pixel XL (128GB) in Dec 2016, initially it was good...but later observed few things -
1. Phone started heating up
2. Audio quality degraded
3. Project fi slowed down the internet speed instead of increasing it and provide better experience.
4. Lot of noise while on call or important meetings
5. Google support will only offer refurbished phone though 1 year limited warrenty also talks about refund.
I would say it's not worth $1000 and is waste of money. If you cross initial 14 days then brace for refurbished phone from Google for which you would be at their mercy.

Anonymous, 10 May 2017huawei p10 i thinkGo for Samsung galaxy j1. I have this model. Its very nice and cool. No lagging no heating issue battery is ok. Camera is also superb. Its not expensive as huawei p10.very cheap phone i love it. I recommend everyone go for it.

I think its funny that people are complaining about this phone not having fast charging, not water proof, no SD slot, over priced, etc. Look at what apple has been doing since day one. Clearly you forgot that Apple barley changes much to their phones and just recently made it water proof after how many over priced models? You people need to get off the dope your on and realize its their first phone, they will add and improve on things.

It can never match the style and battery that samsung possess.
and talking about screen quality and processor it was and can never come near it.

Google Pixel launched on 4th October 20... morePixel will kick any Samsung's arse, simple as that. No need for saying all those in details. Simple things are simple and they should remain so. The consistency of framerates will be in any Samsung's dream, ROFL. As a Samsung user only for most time previously, I find it hilariously that I bothered to use those lagfest devices for so long.
Still the best phone available on the market, along with U11. And the most quiet comment section, love that honestly. Never did like attention and all those nonsense.
