Here's where you can buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra with 16GB of RAM

All of the Galaxy S25 models come with 12GB of RAM, across the world, right? Wrong. The Galaxy S25 Ultra also has an option with 16GB of memory, but only in Korea, China, and Taiwan.
We have no clue why Samsung is keeping this so confined, we assume the company may have done some market research which concluded that people in these places are more likely to look at RAM on a spec sheet and make a purchase decision based on that.

Regardless, if you want an S25 Ultra with 16GB of RAM you're going to have to purchase it from Korea, China, or Taiwan. In China and Taiwan, the model with 1TB of storage has 16GB of RAM, while in Korea things get even weirder since you can buy it with either 12GB or 16GB.
For those of us who don't live in these places, 12GB it is, then. Needless to say, all of Samsung's Android smartphone making competitors have moved onto 16GB of RAM for their flagships a while ago, but then they also have had faster wired and wireless charging for about the same amount of time, and Samsung still sells more than they do, globally. So maybe specs don't make that much of a difference in most people's purchasing decisions?

Whatever. I could do better app switching on ancient smartphones with 512 MB RAM. Meanwhile phones with 16 GB RAM kill one app opened in background after four seconds.
