In response to your query we would like to inform you that you can follow the below mentioned steps to update your handset software.

Download the software
Force Upgrade
Step 1. Format the Micro SD card (This operation is optional).
Step 2. Copy the Software: main package to a directory named dload.
Step 3. Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
Step 4. Make sure your handset is power off. Insert the Micro SD card into the handset. Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode.
Step 5. When the progress bar stops, the phone will automatically power OFF.
Build number By step: Settings->About phone->Build number, to check the version is correct or not.
Software update will take time duration of 15-20 Mins and after that application will start optimizing after the application optimization you will be able to use the handset.

Hi Friends., my suggestion for those who have contact list/sms/log details issue. pls power on the mobile without sim card and leave it for 6 hrs. then go to PHONE MANAGER - SCAN ur mobile and use PHONE ACCELERATOR option also.
I did the same for my HONOR 4X. now mobile is works as usual. pls try this and comment.

Upgrade requirements
1) To make sure that the Micro SD card is available with enough free space and can be read and write. A Micro SD card of 4GB or more should be available. It is recommended that The Micro SD card is made by Sandisk, Kingstone, or Kingmax.
2) To make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the Upgrade process. It is recommended that the power of the battery is more than 50%.
3) Upgrade operations will erase all user data. Continue if agreed.
4) In the shared package, please find the dload\UPDATE.APP and this package should be used for Upgrade operation.

Try the option suggested by Velrajan and Siva. I am able to restart my phone.
But I lost my data in SD card as well. :(
Kindly follow the steps mentioned below:
* Go to http://hihonor.in/support/downloads
* Software > download Honor 4X-Second Android L
* Unzip the zip file
* Open "Software" folder and copy "dload" folder
* Paste "dload" folder in your SD card
* Insert SD card in your device
* Switch OFF the device and press (power button + volume up + volume down) buttons simultaneously for 10 to 15 seconds
* Installing starts automatically
It is recommended to take the backup of all your personal data before updating your device software.
