hello friend- '' PANE '' that is my real name and I am a man of 55 years,
and i'm from Macedonia.
I bought this phone at speed without checking almost 2 years ago offered to me with 50% off from my operator for my loyalty ,(and now after 2 years, new offer follows)
this is a very good phone and will last a long time and it is a durable as a battle tank.
Thanks for complimenting me and I always want to share, and I would give you advice about the battery, do not charge it in the car (except in an emergency) because does not get a constant voltage and it is possible for the battery to degrade quickly.

I have been using this amazing phone for 11 months now and I have no problem with it. It is very sturdy and easy to use. There was a time when I forgot to remove the connector on the lighter/charger and turned the ignition of the car and promptly panicked as the phone went dead and it won't open again for about 2 hours (the longest 2 hours). But it did open as if nothing happened. The only thing it did is darken the display. I am also reading a lot of posts from pane since he/she is obviously our resident "historian" on this phone and gave me useful info on its features.

for me it works, open the camera, photo, in the upper left corner click on the first icon, and it will ask you to install an update and then it will work on the lower part of the screen you will see a calorie icon

Thanks for supporting my suggestions, I'm not a fan for games on the phone, I only use backggamon to kill boredom if I have a couple of free minutes and what I know is that this phone supports GPU turbo for games in settings, apps, appassistant-on- then there in game space select games for which you need to boost game and system settings will be optimized fog gaming but will conszsume more battery power and may heat up, you can turn this option off at any time and use as needed.

as I wrote you can save battery if you put it on HD + unlike FULL HD resolution and thus save battery but the biggest consumer is, facebook, instagram etc running in the background, I personally do not have an application installed for them but simply turn on via google browser and so it doesn't consume the battery in the background so it lasts longer, this phone is one of the best because it has good built-in glass and aluminum parts and great software and processor and I will use it for a long time, if you are interested in something specific then feel free to ask

this is because you are used to the amoled screen and the colors are a little more vivid, now you have switched to lcd but this is a quality 397 ppi density screen and if you are looking for a brighter screen then you get if you turn on the auto light brightness and pull the volume light button to the end, you also have color mode & temperature , eye comfort, and you can save battery if you set the screen resolution to HD + instead of FULL HD, and almost the eye can not make a difference only if you zoom.

I bought almost 8x but I'm a little disappointed with the screen, my old samsung j7 2017 had a much better screen,that's just the objection, everything else is great.

this is what I explained some time ago, that the battery should never be discharged below 25% and it is not necessary to charge to 100% but 85% is enough and if you stay in this zone then the battery does not consume cycles and will last a very long time

Only one drawback, I had to replace the battery of this phone after one and a half year because it's battery got swelled and popped out the back panel. And second battery is not that good like previous one. I had replaced the battery from service center. I have bought the phone in December 2018.

We're running two 8Xs bought a pair October 18 on the spec and price a close option was the 9 but the spec was lower and cost higher. Both are running brilliantly fast and there seems to be no slowdown. Latest update I did brought up to 10.0.0.235. The best info I can find on the current update level is 229, huawei seems to keep everyone guessing as I can't find a definitive standard for current updates?
I hope we get at least 10.1.

My Honor 8X celebrated 2 years today. I'm so happy with it, still it looks like new even
I dropped it many times, no scratches or crack. The battery is still the same even I abused it sometimes. I hope in the future Honor can make more good quality phone like this. I can say that this phone still worth to buy even in 2021.
