and it's a pity that the European model, most likely won't get harmony OS,
I wonder if there is an option to get this possibility

September 2022 is yet to come,
I wrote what I discovered, that; among the other 300 million devices, the Honor 8X, which is in the testing period, will be upgraded with Harmony OS in September 2022, a period that is yet to come, as far as the Chinese Honor 8X models, they already got Harmony OS. however, it is not a guarantee that the test will succeed, so we have to wait in hope , but even if it doesn't, it won't be a big disappointment.

Well, huaweicentral were gloating back in february 2022 that old Honor models would be getting the emui 12 software update, but they will not answer my questions. Huawei customer support uk however say there is NO software update planned - so who is telling the truth?
...and why are HuaweiCentral not answeing emails?

What the global versions should hope for is the EMUI 12 which I've also read might be out for older honor devices but the chances are getting slimmer. Perhaps Huawei hasn't rolled out the complete stable update for the huawei eligible devices for instance my Huawei Y9s has been in testing phase since April 15 2022 and till today 4th Aug no stable roll out has beef announce... Harmony OS 3.0 will soon start testing in September but none of the Honor has made the list so far...

I upgraded to Harmony OS 2.0 in November 2021
and it doesn't work properly with Google play store and services
Its definitely not easy but i loved the new interface

the last update is May 2021,but there is a possibility for harmony os. update, the Chinese models have already received this possibility.
The new models from Honor, the quality depends on your budget, and what I don't like is that now they don't have support from Huawei and they all have the Snapdragon chipset, which in my opinion is far weaker than Kirin, which is proven to be agile as well as what can be seen with the Honor 8x and it works phenomenally, that's why Huawei have returned to the Kirin processor, good luck whatever you choose

Ive Again asked Huawei Centra... morewithout disappointment, remember that it started with Android 8.0 to reach Android 10.0 and that this is the safest and most successful model that came out from Honor, what we should hope is that Honor 8X is in the list of the Harmony OS testing phase. The recruitment will remain open until September 22, we have to wait until then.

Contrary to what i have read on the internet Huawei Customer Support UK, have replied to me saying that there are NO PLANS for an EMUI 12 or HARMONY os 2 update to the HONOR 8X in the UK.
Im quite dismayed, as theres loads of info stating that older Honor phones are going to be updated.
Why is it updated in China only and not made Global?
Seems rather unfair to sell these products around the world but major OS updates are refined to China only

So, i find the honor 8x will be receiving Harmony OS 2.0, but what i'm not clear on is....
When AND will it be Global?
According to The Global Times
There is currently no HarmonyOS upgrade planned for overseas mobile phones," the company said, adding that the number of devices that have updated to Huawei's HarmonyOS, including smartphones, watches and tablets, had surpassed 170 million as of November 10.
...so maybe this means only new devices IN Europe will have the new OS

Ive Again asked Huawei Central whether Honor 8X will receive the EMUI 12 update,but they have not responded since
As most rollouts have already happened, i can only assume that this model will not receive the update after all.
Very disappointing
