3rd party launchers are not supported by default, but you can enable them with ADB if you have the skills.

God, 24 Nov 2018The corner of the mi mix and the jiggly thing are the stuff... moreIt's not plastic. I've looked everywhere to find even the slightest hint that it's plastic but no. All say the same, it's 7000-series aluminum (aluminum chassis / metal fuselage /aluminum frame), and the back is ceramic. It really would not make any sense at all to use plastic for the screen, it would not be safe and Xiaomi does not use plastic in this price range, or anywhere near it.
Like I've implied previously, FrankieTech didn't seem very objective in his review.

I paid $605 for phone. 256 GB memory and 8 GB ram I think price is ok for this phone I phone overpriced Samsung too!!!

I think we will need to wait at least few months to be sure about it's durability, but if I had to guess now after few days of use it will last long time.
