2 year end user experienced, screen got some touching problem since new phone till now, changed 2 new screen can't solve

      It is a good device still in the present day, but with the distaste of Huawei, to this day owners of the European model, BKL-L04 did not receive the emui 9.1 so little emui 10, something strange since the same device from other regions have had its updates, but I do not care much, although the last update was 4 months ago and still security patch because , the current version 9.0, i extracted well the potential of the device, and Huawei allows custom themes. if someone waits for new updates, or had some problem with the device, respond, I'm open to dialogue, my region is from Brazil.

        Lag, 26 Dec 2020Anyone also experienced significant lags after upgrading to... moreAs I said before both GMS & HMS are both present in EMUI 10 over Android 10. Updating apps from both Google Playstore [GMS] & Huawei App Gallery [HMS] creates duplicate apps and only makes the phone more slow. So after a hard factory reset of my Honor View 10, I follow bellow procedure:

        Google Playstore:

        1) Huawei Mobile Services/ HMS Core
        Last Version: 3.0.3.303 (No updates)
        2) HiCare/ Support
        Last Version: 1.1.1.305
        3) Themes
        Last Version: 10.0.10.338
        4) Huawei Backup/ Backup
        Last Version: 10.1.10.350
        [Huawei's alternative to Google Backup]
        5) Honor Store
        6) Honor Club
        7) Huawei Health


        Huawei AppGallery:

        Always Update:
        1) AppAssistant/ Game Suite
        [Game Acceleration Engine]

        Never Update:
        1) HMS Core/ Huawei Mobile Services
        2) AppGallery
        3) Huawei Assistant TODAY! [Equivalent to Google Assistant]
        4) PushService [A platform for HMS app developers to send new messages in real time from the cloud to a device, improving user awareness and engagement.]

            Anyone has problem since updating to July patch? I don't seem be able to check and update apps automatically anymore. Need to go to individual app for update.

                    size 626MB.
                    Android security patch August 2020.

                    I thought there will be no more update for this phone since the Android 10 update.
                    I've never been so wrong.

In India, we already received the Android 10 update 8 months prior and this new update updates the android security patches and tries to take you one step closer to using Huawei services rather than Google.

                          Below is the current software version on my Honor View 10 after the update:
                          Model: BKL-L09
                          Build: 10.0.0.182 (C675E4R1P1)
                          EMUI Version: 10.0.0
                          Android Version: 10
                          Android Security Patch Level: July, 2020.

                          My eyebrows raised looking at the size of the update, a huge 4.41 GB. Just to update the security patch from Apr, 2020 to July, 2020 Honor needs to push this huge 4.41 GB update. The truth is more than meets the eye. Huawei/ Honor (after Google ban) every-time changing their EMUI inside out, which is requiring them to push an entire new build. These subsequent builds are not incremental in any way hence such big updates every-time.

                          With every update I can see more and more emphasis is laid in delineating Google services from their EMUI. For example in this update, Huawei is trying to stop the user from using Google Assistant by default and want them to use Huawei Assistant. If I was not careful in providing permissions after the restart of the phone after update, l would have accidentally enabled their assistant.

                          This phone is a primary example of the ongoing tussle between Google Mobile Services [GMS] & Huawei Mobile Services [HMS] in Huawei & Honor devices, as both comes integrated in the latest EMUI. Personally I never use the Huawei AppGallery, disabled everything in it. I never update the HMS core on Huawei AppGallery leaving HMS powerless. The only app I ever update from them in AppAssistant/ Game Suite which is the Game Acceleration Engine. For everything else I use Google Playstore and give the power of control back to GMS. I also have to go into phone setting and their are may hidden settings where we get options to choose, say between Google Assistant & Huawei Assistant.

I am currently downloading a huge 4.11 GB update ver. EMUI 10.0.0.182 in India. Changelog mentions now it includes Huawei Assitant and July 2020 security patch.

                            Have been enjoying Android 10 since Feb, 2020 and very satisfied with EMUI 10. Will later update the details here.

                                      Owned the phone Honor View 10 for 3 Years now sold in Rs 9000/- Worth every penny! Lots of love for Huawei Technology. Will surely repeat buying a Huawei/Honor phone once they have the Google services. Now I m using Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite.
