EMUI 10 update made the interface look better and smoother, especially the dark mode being FINALLY available... took them awhile. RAM usage is slightly dicreased. Speedwise, not much of a difference. I'd recommend backing up your data and doing a factory reset after the update. It's gonna enhance the performance.

Updating apps from both Google Playstore [GMS] & Huawei App Gallery [HMS] creates duplicate apps and only makes the phone more slow. So after a hard factory reset of my Honor View 10, I follow bellow procedure:

MCH, 07 May 2020Ya .. wonder why. I have a Mate 10 with same chipset ..Also... moreAfter Android 10 update I am observing a strange phenomenon on my Honor View 10. We all know after US ban, Huawei and its sub-brand Honor was unable to get Google certification on their devices and subsequently no Google Mobile Services (GMS). That means out of secure Google PlayStore app eco-system.
Hence Huawei developed the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) which is a clone of GMS but without the trust we have for Google. It will take them a decade the achieve that trust. It seems after Android 10 update HMS can work alongside GMS. I mean I find both services running in parallel in my View 10, and always get the option in settings as of which one to use. For example do I want Google Assistant to be default or Huawei's App Assistant. I ofcourse always choose Google.

In India, we already received the Android 10 update quite long ago and this new update adds the VoWiFi feature for some carriers and lastest security patches.
Below is the current software version on my Honor View 10 after the update:

Android Version: 10
Android Security Patch Level: April, 2020.

So it seems at least in India, Honor is going to provide two Android version upgardes and three years of security patch updates. Actually they are doing more than that, they are provided us with new features even on the third year. Hats off to Honor for such awesome software support.

It is sad to hear that View 10 will not receive any more security patches. I expected two android version upgrades (which they delivered in India) and three years of security patches. But seriously, EMUI 10 on Android 10 is a paradigm shift from EMUI 9. Its a whole new level of software refinement and without a spec of doubt the best Android overlay on any other Chinese phone. It easily beats FuntouchOS of Vivo, ColorOS of Oppo, FlymeOS of Meizu.. any OS from any other Chinese manufacturer.
The reason is very simple, Huawei has more money than any of its Chinese competitors and hence more software developers and hence more refined OS. Its really sad if you guys miss the EMUI 10. Its a big miss.
