Honor View 10 now on pre-order in the US, shipments are later this month

It took a bit longer than expected – the Huawei Honor View 10 was supposed to launch in the US in early January. Better late than never, we suppose, the phone is now available on pre-order through HiHonor.com.

It costs $500 and will ship out on March 23. Only the Navy Blue and Midnight Color options are available.

Keep in mind that the Honor View 10 has a Kirin 970 chipset (Huawei’s top of the line) and while it lacks the Leica branding of the Mate 10 phones, it has a capable 16MP + 20MP dual camera on the back.

And it launches with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box (with EMUI 8.0), making it hard to argue with the price (a Mate 10 Pro is $800).

And since St. Patrick’s Day is this Saturday, Huawei is celebrating with some discounts. The Honor 7X is down to $215 ($15 off since December) while the Honor 6X is down to $185 (was $250 a year ago). With either phone you get a 50% discount on headphones, the 7X also nets you a free case. The promo is valid until the 17th (this Saturday).

If you're into raffles, you can get a $1 coupon for a chance to win one View 10 or one of three Honor 7X phones. Huawei will also give 300,000 coupon codes worth $30 off. The first 50 people each day will grab a free pair of headphones and the first thousand will get a free case. You can read the terms and conditions here.

Typically they do for the official US release. There's a global (aka Asia and Europe) and the US version.

I don't know how the updates work for Huawei vs Honor but my P10 is way behind. It's very strange considering they're the same company and UI.
