1 is an IR blaster
whereas the other one is an ambient light sensor for auto brightness features
(it is generally placed in the notch in other phones)

Mate 20 pro has a notch bigger chin than this, still Mate 20's S2B ratio is higher than this.

I really don't get why the pixels per inch on these is so terrible compared to the s8 considering you're going to have all those megapixels to look at from the photos you could take.

But as of now, yes from S7 edge to this Honor View 20 definitely a great update, considering its a flagship phone with a great price.
