Mine barely lasts a day with 5 min of talktime, 1 hour working with programs and 1-2 hous musing in standby mode. I updated the rom but no improvement at all. They have fixed the camera issues and it does pretty decent photos now.

Ok . I installed the new rm by HP. Can't see any improvement on battery life though:(. Is it possible that the battery hasn't been charged properly in the first time use (12 hours charge after complete drain).
If so, how can I fix that. Is it enough to drain the battery and charge it for 12 hours.

For me it completely resolved the battery issue. Now the stand-by tyme is approx 3 days where with the original ROM it had been less than 24 hours. Three days for a PDA of this class is more than OK.

This is a list of compatible MicroSD cards, but these are NOT SDHC (high capacity cards). While there are a 4GB (in fact 3.81GB _NON_ SDHC) cards on the market, and almost all of them are compatible with any device, the problems emerge with the Micro SDHC cards. I suppose that you are talking about a real SDHC and not 3.81=4GB card.

My comment is related to th HP 612C Business Navigator, the main problem is the word completion feature just does not work.
Have spoken to HP they don't seem to have a fix, so if your thinking about buying it, TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

@budixbud - There should be no problem with the Skype installation process, but on the condition that you have downloaded the correct version for your device. In case of iPAQ 610/614 this is "Skype 2.2 for Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC)" which can be downloaded from this page - http://skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windowsmobile/ . Do NOT try to install the Smartphone version of Skype - iPAQ 614 is NOT a Smartphone, but a PocketPC.
