Still holding up even after two years of heavy usage (3+ hours a day). Only a few glitches here or there. Battery is starting to crap out, which is to be expected from Lithium ion batteries. Not easy to replace but might be worth it if you can't shell out another $199+ for a new phone.

got it since launch, solid phone though the battery has gone to shit in the last few months. Still not much out there though that tempts me to switch

I am using the phone for about 18 months - very good phone except the battery
it drains quickly due to the resolution of the screen
it gives you about 4 -5 hours
but over all very good phone

What's the best option between Htc10, Honor 8 and Xperia xz? I've heard that htc10 has problems with wifi connexion and the battery isn't that good.

I love everything about this phone, but the most 2 things I like are the metal build (I hate the useless glass bodies that one can't use without a case), and the wide angle of the front facing camera!

still using it for about 2 years and have no troubles with 7.0.
still pretty good main camera and wonderful front cam (with f/1.8 and ois), wonderful audio quality w 3.5 mm jack ,no problem at all with the performance. I do not play games on my mobile and it's still very good for daily usage. just the battery is running out quickly.

Not officially, it's not supported by HTC anymore. 8.1 was the latest official build.
On XDA one can get several Android 9 "Pie" ROMs: LineageOs 16, Resurrection Remix, AOSiP 9.0, crDroidAndroid 9.0...
Then we can even get the Pixel3 camera with the Night Mode: MGC_6.1.013_MI8_V1.

I bought an htc 10 for my sister as a present...less than a year later the battery exploded and almost burned my sister's hands and the office .. We contacted the local htc service center only to have them say the warranty was over , which didnt make sense because a phone shouldnt explode under any circumstances . we contacted the htc dubai , they asked to send them the unit , and after sending it , they just kept calling every week saying they had made no decision and have no feedback to give . after over 7-8months of the same thing i asked to have the unit sent back as it was meaningless and going nowhere with customer service...they also refused to send an official report as to what they found out ..its the last time i'll let any1 buy from htc again friends or family or any stranger even ...dont know what to do next

Rasha, 17 Jan 2019Htc 10, don't buy it, battery is awful !! very very bad battery🙁I hope you din'd buy it second hand. I have this phone since 2 years now and it is the best phone I ever had. The battery is not that good after two years, but in the first year and a half there was no problem. Disable unnecessary applications like facebook messenger, twitter, news, etc and you'll have it for longer. I am planning to change it's battery because I want to keep it for more than 2 years from now.

Using HTC 10 since 2016 its awesome phone it is much much better than the mid range phones of 2019 and it wiil be better then 2020s mid range. there are no problem with battery timing it last about 5 hour and 15 minutes of screen on time running Android Oreo . but the battery timing was little bit better on Android Nougat about 20 minutes more. i am happy with my htc 10

Then do the update.
Factory reset the phone after the update.
You should have a clean bug free Android v8.0

For those interested into having Android Pie and Pixel3's camera with the Night mode and the Portrait mode: look for and install: LineageOS HTC 10
Then search and install MGC_6.1.013_MI8_V1.apk. This version is stable, full-featured and the fastest I have found. More recent versions are sluggish or crashes immediately; while older versions (6.1.009 and 5.1) don't have the Night mode.
