the reason behind putting sd 810 is coz they didn't wanted it to be their flagship... and don't worry about the heating of sd 810...i heard that this is another version of sd 810 which doesn't have any heating issues....but one thing did disappointed me and that is the removal of the headphone jack.

Might have considered if not for the 810 and only a 3200mah battery. its a 2015 spec phone releasing in late 2016. Poor effort.

Apple not first in anything since iphone 3, htc actually is exept for wrong 3.5mm jack , i don't think htc wanted to remove that, but like apple when it is it's first time water resist phone ... So Now this phone is kind of general use phone, with water resistance, sd810, military grade aluminium boddy, gorilla glass 5. It sures its holder that it will be real quick for every day use(sd 810 is pretty fast and i think they use v2.1 of it)and also will endure in hard situations. It priced a little high, best would 500 euros

First of all, Moto Z was actually the first to come without a 3.5mm headphone jack, and second of all, why don't you call Apple a copycat for taking the Dual camera and metal body ideas from HTC? You're probably a typical Apple fanboy that lives underneath a rock.

Alan, 12 Nov 2016It is not nonsense it is factual though in a childish manne... moreCPU wise, the 810 would definitely get beaten by 652 (or even 650) but you have to take into account that Adreno 430 inside is still much more powerful than the Adreno 510 inside the 650/652. Given the fact that the former also has much more GPU related features inside than the latter, I can say that SD810 is still futureproof for the next couple of years. Although I'd agree that making a new phone and costs them $300 more than a last year's phone with a same SoC is a stupid idea.

The snapdragon 810 is a very subpar chipset for qualcomm and probaly their worst chip since the success of their 800/801 and 805. Not only were their issues with heat dissipation on the SOC it also performs poorly and would be bested by a snapdragon 652/653 which you can find on devices costing 150-250$. So while his comment may not be the most mature it is 100% correct. HTC is making a dead device with a dead SoC and should be selling this phone for 2-300$ max
