Its a great phone. With the Froyo update its a gadget of ones choice. There are only two things that could have been better:
1-Even with the Froyo (2.2) upgrade, the video is at 15fps and quite jerky.
2-Internal memory falls short with several market apps still unable to be moved to SD.
Rest its the best phone I have seen so far. More like a James Bonds device (one device has it all)

(after returning my Sh!t No... moreDwane the box will say on the Display spec 3.7" AMOLED touch-sensitive screen.
The SLCD versions will only say 3.7" touch-sensitive screen.
I got an AMOLED yesterday and so I'm really psyched I didn't think I could find an AMOLED unit, but it says right there on the box and the IMEI on the box and the phone is exactly the same so it is literally the same AMOLED unit on the box.

Dwane, 03 Nov 2010Do you have any good battery saving tips? I'm new to AndroidYeap buy a 3200 mah extended battery. That will mean you can use it heavily for 3 maybe four days and then you will need to charge it again. Google search HTC Extended 3200 mah Battery. Also check under youtube.

Anyone got a best app for the desire or android in general , Ill start the ball rolling . Floating images its not super flash it just displays your photos as a scrolling display and mixs it up with images off the web I think it looks neat and is better than the standard display.

Dwane, 02 Nov 2010I receieved my Desire today!! (after returning my Sh!t No... moreif it says touch sensitive screen then it's SLCD. they don't have AMOLED for Desire anymore. It doesn't really matter, in fact SLCD has smoother graphics (less pixellated than AMOLED) but less vibrant colours than AMOLED. And it's rumoured that SLCD drains more battery but that has not been really proven.

Is this the phone for me considering that I'll use it for:
1. Skype always logged in (does it hurt battery life)
2. Play music/record some videos (occasionally)
3. Remote desktop (every now and then)
4. SatNav
5. Watch DivX on it

I have a HTC Desire, infact i have had it just 3 months after just 3 month i am in the middle off going through my 4th new replacement although i wont accept another HTC desire after having 3, im going back to a blackberry and wish i had never left them
