Strange th... moreMy phone also turns itself of now, I have had it for 2-3 months.
Many also have problems with the fact that Desire can not keep a stable 3G-connection, the reciever freezes for a minute or two far to often, and even Desire HD have exactly the same problem.
"Professional" reviewers only test the phone for a short period of time and without installing and using many apps and games, or even surfing the Internet long enough for the fatal problems on Desire to show themself. I can use my Desire for a half hour surfing Internet before the 3G-reciever starts freezing, and it took more than 2 months before it started to turn itself of. That is the reason why Desire is so high up on "professional" reviewers list over best phones, and most users blame bad network instead of blaming the real reason, HTC Desire, for frozen 3G-connections and the many new buyers have not had the phone for more than 2 months for Desire to start shut itself of.

i'm hearing friends with the HTC desire all having the same problem, after having the desire 3 months or so, it keeps switching itself off, mine is only a month old so its ok right now, but this sounds a serious flaw with the product

anny, 28 Oct 2010first i want to thank you all for your reply and suggestion... morepls specify from which region u r..if ur failed getting update through network..ul better have to root ur fone and flash a good rom..pls refer HTC DESIRE OFFICIAL FORUM on rooting and flshing queries

try caliberating battery as per forums.u will get aweosome back up.m getting 2 days complete on heavy usage too

anny, 28 Oct 2010first i want to thank you all for your reply and suggestion... morewelll... its simple google "how to root htc desire" u will get tons of links... its better u read all of them so u will get better understanding that what does ROOT actually means... in a nut shelll it means u get Super User Control.. which means u can do any thing with ur phone... u can u se any rom official or non official... u r no more bound to HTC... (thats the main diff between Iphones.. and android phones u get FULL freedom) Rooting will flash ur phone that means u have to keep back up !!!

this is the link for the easiest rotting.. once ur done... in the same link the author has give custom roms links.. go to each on of themm.. read them and see which one you would like to try first...
i am using custom rom for LEEDRIOD froyo with sense... it works perfect.. i cant tell any diff between official and custom (becuase they are exactly same) infact little tweaked..
